    FROZEN BLUE Taycan Club

I just purchased our 2nd Taycan, a Frozen Blue 4S for my wife. Mine is Gentian Blue Turbo. They are both fantastic, but I actually like the color combo of my wife's better. The contrast between the paint and the other body parts is fantastic. Also, she got the chalk/black 2-tone interior...

    HomeLink shortcomings...

Yeah, and I have a neighborhood gate, then a driveway gate, then a garage door at the end of the driveway. I could have more too, with a work garage. So it is easy in our world today to have multiple Homelink needs.

    HomeLink shortcomings...

I think the issue with the conflict between the programmable button on the dash (for Homelink use) and the back-up camera screen is when you have more than one gate or garage programmed into the car's Homelink function. When there is more than one, pressing the Homelink command button brings up...

Bettery Degradation after 6 Month - 11% can it be ?

I have had my Taycan Turbo for 5 months now and have already put on 6,500 miles, including a 2,500 mile road trip where I charged most of the time at EA Level 3 chargers. Most of the rest of the charging has been done at home on my 40 amp garage charger, charging up to 85%. I have had no...

Prediction: Next Firmware Release Update for Taycan: Week of November 9, 2020

I used a cassette tape on my Atari desktop in 1980 to load an accounting program. And in 1979 in my computer science programming class at The University of Texas, I used punch cards to enter a Basic and FORTRAN program into the university mainframe.

My Taycan Turbo already performs exactly the way described in your update link.

    Taycan PCM is an embarrassment

I like your inputs and don't think you were offensive whatsoever! Porsche needs to hear customer feedback and hopefully with enough voices, they will make improvements.

    Taycan PCM is an embarrassment

Dee, I am not sure why you are working so hard to be dismissive of what is a real concern for a huge number of Taycan owners. We certainly respect each individual's views and priorities and criteria for purchasing this car, but they all aren't the same priorities. You seem to care mostly about...

    GENTIAN BLUE Taycan Club

Beautiful car and thanks for the detailed review. My ceramic coating/clear bra person in San Diego had the same reaction to my Gentian Blue Turbo. He had their professional photographer come out before handing the car back to me to do a shoot. The Gentian Blue, coupled with the lines and...

My 2 weeks of Taycan review: The Good and The Bad

I have already done that, as well as programming the diamond button on the right side of the dash to bring up Homelink when pressed. It is just that I have 3 different Homelink locations programmed, making it an extra step to have to press the right Homelink line after having pressed the...

My 2 weeks of Taycan review: The Good and The Bad

I have the same issue with my Homelink setup on my TT. I wished the GPS coordinates I programmed into the soft button would actually call up the button when I am close to my community gate, then my garage. Is there some trick to getting this to work right?

My 2 weeks of Taycan review: The Good and The Bad

Works perfectly. I just returned from a 2,500 mile road trip with rain on long segments. Rain-sensing wiper function was perfect, even allowing you to set the sensitivity and speed by setting the interval switch.

My 2 weeks of Taycan review: The Good and The Bad

I agree with most, especially the Connect App and even the website from my laptop. Very intermittent in its availability. The A/C works fine for me when ECO is off. As for regen, I believe Porsche has opted to default to off as they believe, and I agree, that most Porsche drivers want the...

Distance & Range Anxiety - How Far Have You Gone

Ron, Thanks for this reply on this thread. I just returned from a 2,500 mile round trip from San Diego to Bend, Oregon, driving almost its entirety on I-5 in my Taycan Turbo. I'll leave all my review about the supreme pleasure of this car on the road to another thread, but as for the range...

    GENTIAN BLUE Taycan Club

I did the entire outside including glass and plastic taillight and headlight covers and even the wheels. It makes the whole car hydrophobic.

Taycan vs 911 (Which to buy)

I have had 2 Panamera's, 1 Macan Turbo, 6 911's (from 4S, to S to GTS to Turbo S) and now a Taycan Turbo. What one selects is highly dependent upon your driving needs, comfort desires, etc. But I can say that from a performance and comfort standpoint, there is nothing in the Porsche lineup...

    GENTIAN BLUE Taycan Club

You don't need to go to a paint/body shop for this. There are many places that do body wraps and ceramic (nano-coating) paint protection. This one was done at Elite Finish in San Diego. You can see their website to learn more about what this is: https://www.elitefinishdetailing.com/. For...
