Agreed on the ability to return the car. Whilst there are a lot out there none unfortunately have the specifications I'm after (which is why I paid over the odds for my existing Taycan).
Just spoken to different dealer about a replacement Taycan. Gen 1 MY23 - has the ARB6 recall. Porsche are trying to sell a car that can't be charged to over 80% and near any buildings. How is this possible...!
Loaner is a shocker - BMW IX - not good! I have been impressed with the dealer trying to turn repairs around as quickly as possible, but there have been too many of them...
To be fair to the dealer, other than selling the car when it was not appropriate to do so, they have been excellent in communication/ensuring I have a courtesy car etc. Still unhappy that they didn't take on board my comments regarding the LTE though....
Good point on Audi sharing the same platform. I'm not prepared to accept the depreciation on a new gen 1.2 even if I could afford it, and though used gen 1.2 are now coming through, they are still too high for me pricewise, so it would be a gen 1 replacement I would be looking at.
I love the...
After buying a Taycan last year, whilst being an absolute blast to drive, I only had it for two weeks, as the rest of the time it has been at the Porsche service centre with a multitude of issues ranging that has resulted in me requesting Porsche take the car back.
The question is, do I stick...
SO...
New battery fitted, but a rattle has now been discovered which Porsche believes is due to water ingress along the windshield.
As a consequence, I've now asked that Porsche take the car back. There have been so many issues in a short period of time that I have no confidence in the car...
So I'm still waiting for my car to be returned from Porsche (5 weeks and counting).... They have replaced the comms module due to lack of LTE (only after I insisted that I wouldn't accept the car back until they confirmed it had LTE. They had assumed it was down to operator error and initially...
This forum has been an absolute blessing (and at times slightly depressing).
As you point out, I'm part of a group who all share similar experiences, which is comforting as I'm not the only one, and it manages expectations on the car. The depressing thing is the sheer number of faults - I...
Quick update - it was the HV charger that failed. Repair has been completed and hopefully will have the car back next week.
Very pleased as I don't like the BMW IX they supplied as a courtesy car. Anyone up for Taycan fault bingo - guess the next fault...?
Not the red circle of death - just a yellow one this morning. Electrical system fault apparently - car won't move, so stuck on driveway.
So in less than one month's ownership - the car has developed three different faults (possibly four as one of the rear wheel arches appears to be sitting...
Porsche dealer has suggest a factory reset. If I do this, will I be able to re-register my personal details/connect to app if the reset doesn't work and the car can't connect to the Porsche servers.
Just want to ensure I'm not making a small issue, slightly larger before I press reset!
New problem to sort! Loss of LTE - I've just noticed that the car hasn't had LTE signal or connected to the Porsche servers for over 6 days. Reading the numerous posts on this matter suggests that another trip to the dealer for a reboot is the only solution...
