  1. Clear protection film (PPF) on the Taycan?

Oh yeah, we apologize for everything here. LOL. It is very easy to extend the precut - the software allows for this. It just takes time, but it's not hard. No matter how good an installer is, people can always slip up with the blade. Like I said, I don't have any obvious seams on my car, and...
  2. Clear protection film (PPF) on the Taycan?

Sorry, but template's do not require stretching. The template's can be altered in the software so that they are extended as far as you like, and template's mean that you do not need to take a knife to the material as much, reducing the risk of scoring the paint. My installer used template's on...
  3. Clear protection film (PPF) on the Taycan?

I was going to say that the badges should be removed. It's just a screw, and by not removing the badge, you now see a seam around the badge which can collect dirt. The installer also needs to remove the side markers which are also attached by one screw. Certain parts that are easily removed...
  4. Frozen blue?

I have one in Canada. It’s the best colour IMO. But aren’t photos good enough?
  5. Alarm keeps going off

Thanks. Odd thing was that when I went to my dealer, the main tech had never heard of the alarm problem, and didn't know that Electric Sport Sound could be heard within the cabin. LOL
  6. Alarm keeps going off

Did Porsche make you remove the Fitcamx first?
  7. Here’s the perf+ dilemma again. Read use case before voting.

Small battery has at least 300km range. I think you should be fine. I don't quite get the whole "resale value" argument. Normally it is very hard to get much money back on any option for a car, and adding only another 50km range wouldn't future proof the vehicle. For what it is, I find the...
  8. Here’s the perf+ dilemma again. Read use case before voting.

How far do you drive each day? I have the small battery and I'm fine. The big battery is an expensive option.
  9. Passenger Display or Sport Chrono vote

I find the passenger display utterly useless. You can do all the same things from the main screen which is adjacent to it. I think Porsche needs to make better use of that screen real estate.
  10. Rear Axle Steering for daily driver?

I’m not saying I regret RAS. But I’ve never driven a Taycan without it. And it’s not super obvious compared to my Teslas. Maybe I’m not paying attention enough? I do have the option because my friends told me the rear wheels do pivot.
  11. FROZEN BLUE Taycan Club

I just ordered this Frozen Blue key cover from AliExpress for $10. Will let you guys know when it arrives if it's up to snuff. LOL
  12. Rear Axle Steering for daily driver?

I have it, but the weird thing is that you probably would only notice the difference after you drive one without.
  13. Porsche Taycan Carbon Fiber Mirror Covers

I wish they made stick ons like RPMTesla. Installation would be a cinch.
  14. Fitcamx dashcam installation

So the PCM literally tells you to the check the voltage in the rain sensor? I didn't know the PCM could so narrowly pinpoint an error so precisely. I installed the Fitcamx as well and had headlight control error, but it wasn't related. Went away.
  15. My steering wheel did not ship with heating. Can it be added?

I didn't spec anything. I never clicked anything regarding heated steering wheel, but maybe the Canada configurator is different. It came by default with heat.
  16. My steering wheel did not ship with heating. Can it be added?

I have sports Chrono and my steering came heated without me speccing it. Why does yours not have it?
  17. Smart lift disappeared

Don't worry about it. I picked up my new car and never had Smart Lift for the first 6 weeks. Then suddenly out of nowhere it appeared. Then 3 weeks later, I think it disappeared again. It's just a glitch in the software. But whether it is there or not, the only thing it provides is to allow you...
  18. Cleaning questions ?

If the car is wrapped, I try to just use the two bucket method. I just use a regular garden hose to rinse off the car first, though a pressure washer would be better. But you need to be careful about lifting the edges of the PPF, so careful where you spray. Rinseless washes are fine, but that is...
  19. "Factory" PPF installed by PCNA (pics) -- is this acceptable?

My installer did a perfect job wrapping over all the edges without removing a single thing. It IS possible. Where he couldn't wrap over, he would get it to within less than 1mm of the edge. My job is completely invisible for all intents and purposes. It is not necessary to dismantle any part of...
  20. Alarm keeps going off

Do you know where the interior sensor is located? Will you remove your fitcamx prior to sensor replacement? I’m dreading this because I found it so hard to install in the first place.
