Thank you. It's not the clip (that is still intact) But it is interesting to see how many people have that break. There was an interesting bulletin that they put out that was mentioned on the post. The other thing that's interesting is I did search for sunvisor on this forum before I posted...
Nope the plastic bar broke in half at the pivot point. Originally, I found a replacement for $850 on the internet, but thanks to Mr.Jones, I see one for $300. That plus labor at $400/hr at the dealership, it's still worth a few emails, (which are already sent.)
WattTurbo - I believe horizontal.
Ok, so I decided to pull out the warranty since I wrote this and read it. Turns out that there is a law called Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act and from what I can tell Porsche has a whole escalation process. Basically it involves me contacting the dealership and...
I'm hoping someone has some advice here. I bought my `21 CT used at 8,000 miles. I've put on another 8k since January. Absolutely LOVE the car. I've traveled, maybe, 1,000 miles with someone in the passenger seat. My girlfriend was in the car and went to detach the sun visor to move it to the...
Gino, besides Tesla, where are you seeing cheaper rates than EA? I live in Denver, bought my Taycan in January, and have driven it from NJ-CO, CO-UT and CO-NM-AZ.
The first two trips were during polar vortex blizzards, respectfully, and I wasn't optimizing for cost, but they did far exceed...
Yeah sorry about the hotel. I've learned you ALWAYS have to call and confirm. If course, the front desk staff are clueless about charging when you call so be prepared to ask them basic questions like "is it a big charger or a little charger?" (Translation, is it a L3 or L2?")
Absolutely true, but behavior change is always incredibly hard, especially for the early adapters. I'm a planner and I hate gas stations so much, I've run out of gas five times, so I welcome this change whole heartedly. Not everyone will feel the same.
I imagine 10 years from now, when there is...
I submitted my drivers license now they want additional documentation. Right now I'm slammed personally and professionally and need the car for a June 1st road trip. I told them no. That they made the mistake and they need to fix the problem. Let's see if that works.
Thank you for this amazing report!!
I'm glad to hear that there are more charging stops with canopies! Since January, I've driven my Taycan 4S over 6,000 mi, including one cross-country trip during the polar vortex. I was thankful for the lift to get the car over the snow to get close enough to...
I just got that message yesterday too! I called and had to email my ID (in an insecure link, of course). Maybe have lost Wi-Fi too (although haven't needed it. )
Yes, before a long trip, I (now) use ABRP to plan it out, then I double check with PlugShare that they're good locations to charge. I'm also learning which ones are more reliable. (And which states. IN and MO SUCK, but CO and KS are excellent.)
And yes, you plug your route into the nav system...
I bought my car in Dec 2024. Picked it up in NJ in Jan. 25. Drive it from NJ to CO (about 3k miles) at speed, so 80-100 mph. That was through the polar vortex with -10 F. I got about 1.5 to 2hrs, but again, was conservative: hadn't figured out how to drive range mode, chargers were few and far...
I have a 2021 4 Cross Turismo with rear wheel steering and can easily drive 2-3 hours (it has the performance battery).
The exception is when I was driving in the polar vortex temperatures negative 10 Fahrenheit. Then I was only getting one and a half to 2 hours. That said, I had literally...
>> Backs roads!?! WTF is that guy talking about? It's a highway!<<
yeah, I was thinking the same thing, especially, because last weekend I was driving through a mountain backroads and saw a massive deer on the side of the road. THOSE are backroads, buddy.
so for clarity, you are all suggesting to move the emergency equipment from the Frunk to the Cabin (I have a Cross Turismo) because if the battery dies opening the frunk without power is impossible unless you have a portable jumper like in the video (that I half watched...sorry, supposed to be...
I applaud you for what seems like total calm in a storm. I'm sorry you had to deal with all that.
This might be a stupid question, but how did you push it to the shoulder alone? I've been putting a LOT of miles on my car and I worry about this very thing when driving. I'm a female, I'm big...
