I think you have to skip the CA app and download the Charging NA app by Porsche. I use this to connect without issue (at least from an app perspective), at Charge America sites. I have an Android phone, but assume it's on iOS as well.
So I am new to all of this, and have taken the Taycan to a 350kw station several times. It goes very quickly, and it's between my home and closer to my second home, so it makes a goo end of trip/beginning of trip stop. In any case, the past couple of times I've had it charging, I've noticed...
Dumb question - given the car comes with a charger, why buy a 3rd party charger for home? If I'm on the road, I'm likely to use a commercial one anyway.
I've come to the conclusion that the issue isn't with the power. It's the smoothness of the acceleration that makes it feel less abrupt. Maybe I'm wrong, but you still go very fast, it's just not whiplash, and I think that's because it accelerates smoothly.
I agree, however, that you could be...
So, when I read the manual (haven't had a walk-through yet), it says to remove any charging cable, just press and hold the button, wait for the white light, and then remove. You only need to push the button on the car when it won't release. However, no matter what, I always seem to have to...
The former. I don't think any car will let you automatically override the speed by "x" mph simply by engaging for safety reasons. Going 20 mph over on a highway is a lot different than going 20 mph in a school zone, for example.
I am a first-time Porsche buyer. My dealer beyond sucks. The car itself, though it has some quirks, is a really great car (see my recent 1 month review). If you're near any of the 700 for sale (I guaranty you that's not a real in-stock number given production delays), I'd suggest a test...
FWIW, I did this right after I saw your post. No response. Granted, I don't have many followers, so I probably "don't matter" in the eyes of social media.
Yes, I can move stuff around, and get it to close. The opening is small, but the underside of the trunk is unnecessarily curved, causing it to be more irritable than it should be. To me, that's a design defect.
Thanks. I did not get sport chrono because I didn't want the dash thing. I'm very happy with the lines of my dash, but if I had to do it all over, I'd get everything in the performance package but that.
Thanks. I know you've had much more time, many more miles, and significantly more experience with E cars than me. I am coming from a Jeep, so that should give you some perspective. I also never upgraded either of my garages (home because it's on the market, summer home because I'm going to...
