I’m in Wisconsin and can’t say I’ve ever had an issue using launch control - no matter the weather. Something might be wrong with your car. Others hopefully have a more definitive answer for you

I keep one in my trunk as a portable travel charger just in case I ever need it. Purchased a bunch of adapters as well. I have frankly never used it in almost 2 years of ownership. But it’s nice to know it’s back there. I’ve tested it at home a couple of times and it seems to work just fine.

If I had to guess, leaving it turned off (and locked) for ~30 minutes, and turning back on will fix it. Has happened to me before. Is a bug. Even better if you can plug into charger. Give it 30 min and report back!
