Chart: Taycan Cross Turismo ground clearance heights -- with and without Offroad Design Package

It obviously doesn’t change the height. But there seems to be other thing going on as well: ”In gravel mode, the ride height is raised by 30 millimetres compared with the sedan. Gravel mode also influences the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), Porsche Traction Management (PTM)...

What options are affected by chip shortage?

One reason many manufacturers are having problem is because they scaled back their chip orders a year ago since they thought that COVID would lower the sales. But since the Taycan has been doing so well it is chance that Porsche kept their orders relatively intact.

Chart: Taycan Cross Turismo ground clearance heights -- with and without Offroad Design Package

Useful info, thanks. This means that the offroad package doesn't really give any different options compared to the standard, it only sets the default to the gravel mode. The reasons for taking the offroad package are even less than I thought (good I decided against it).

Hardware differences between CT 4 and 4S?

Yes, really, just strike the 4 in the first sentence since the is no regular Taycan 4, only Taycan and Taycan 4S. But that doesn't change the rest of the arguments. Either the CT 4 has the same rear motor as the CT 4S, Taycan, and Taycan 4S, just with reduced output. Or they have developed a...

Hardware differences between CT 4 and 4S?

The regular Taycan 4 and 4S have the same rear motors. The power difference comes from the lack of a front motor. The CT 4S obviously has the same motors as the regular 4S. This means that the CT 4 supposedly has a motor that not is used in other models. I doubt that they would develop a special...

Inspected the Taycan Cross Turismo live - my impressions

Personally, I think that it looks a little better without, but not enough to prevent me from ordering them since I have use for them. Here are some additional images (not mine): https://www.netcarshow.com/porsche/2022-taycan_4s_cross_turismo/1600x1200/wallpaper_99.htm...

Inspected the Taycan Cross Turismo live - my impressions

No, I don't know what color it was, but I guess it was coffee. I realize I should have taken more photos. But I only have one that is similar to the first one. Still, you see a little more of the side and the roof rack. You can see a little more in the image above, but not much I am afraid.

Which option do you need to be able to get Rear cross-traffic alert?

Yes, the info for "Park Assist inkl. Surround View" says: - Exit Manoeuvre Warning The Exit Manoeuvre Warning uses the rear radar and, where system limitations allow, warns the driver when reversing slowly when the parking aid is activated. The system warns, for example, of critically...

    Rear bicycle carrier USA?

I doubt that it comes already installed without any notice. In Sweden, the rack preparation is part of the default "Nordic Package" (together with heat pump and all four seats heated). Still, NG1 appears as an item in the configurator at zero cost. It also appears as a separate item in my...

Inspected the Taycan Cross Turismo live - my impressions

They were matt black, I suppose the same color as the standard wheel arches. But since the wheel arches, in this case, were glossy black, they contrasted unfavorably. Worse, they didn't really seem to fit, not only visually, but mechanically as well. Personally don't see the CT as a rugged car...

Inspected the Taycan Cross Turismo live - my impressions

The backseat about the same. The trunk a bit smaller I would say. The Q5 is short but higher so you can stack your bags higher. But then again you can put one or two smaller bags in the frunk.

Inspected the Taycan Cross Turismo live - my impressions

They seemed pretty well integrated, but it was possible to lift them a little. But I didn't want to tug too hard so I can't really say. I don't think the Porsche people would have appreciated me ripping off the wheel arches. (The customer is not always right :)

Inspected the Taycan Cross Turismo live - my impressions

Porsche in Sweden has their first CT touring among the dealers, and my local dealer got it first. So I had a chance to see (but not drive) it live today. In general I think it looks very nice. The back of course resembles the Panamera Sport Tursimo, but it is sleeker and a little more "sports...

    Wheel sizes - some comparisons

I have been agonizing over which wheel size to pick, so I decided to do some calculations (and yes, I have read the other threads on this). Looks are important, but drivability even more son (at least to me). I have been a little worried about the larger tires on less than perfect roads. Things...

    Roof rails or not

I ordered my CT with rails since I will put a kayak there, plus occasional other things (like the Christmas three :) I think they look OK, but personally, I think the car looks a little nicer without them. I have a roof box, but I haven't used it for 25 years. But it was useful when going on a...

Sport Turismo might still be coming?

That is only in Norway (probably because they are not electric :) Sweden has a full range of A5s (9 different), my daughter go her new A5 yesterday.

Taycan Cross Turismo ground clearance - modes

Thanks and I agree. I am actually migrating away from a SUV (Audi) after only one year since I realized that I am not a SUV person. Testdriving the Taycan was the first fun drive in a while :)
