Nothing for about a week. I emailed my adviser this morning. I'm still hoping for May. Can't say I know much about what is going on over there, but one would think shipping an export should still be possible. *shrug*
With all the customer orders I can't image Porsche has vehicles in stock for purchase. I agree with the others here which theorize these may be demo vehicles being sold.
I'm stuck in Illigen. I would hope they could still continue with shipping the vehicles, but my update 4 days ago shows no movement since the 18th. I can't imaging a lot of people have to be involved with that process, but I say that without any insight to how those logistics work.
Drive around town with rolls upon rolls of toilet paper visible in the back seat. hehehe
My vehicle is apparently stuck in a German parking lot right now. When it does arrive I'm not going to worry about what other people think. The only way to keep the economy going is to buy...
People are free to their own opinions and decisions so I wouldn't call it pushback. Some, including myself, have no issues with buying a previous model year vehicle once prices drop due to new model year inventory going on sale, especially if changes in spec and features are minimal or nil...
Sorry. :(
Yes. Unlike the Sense system, Curb has multiple clamps which you put on the circuits you want to monitor. Here's what my home is doing right now.
When I'm charging the "EV Charger" spikes up to 9-10kW.
Isn't the Sense supposed to differentiate the appliances using power? It...
I guess we live in two different worlds. One where people like to enjoy the things they buy and one where folks are only interested in selling it again. *shrug*
If there are not changes from year to year, features and mileage are the most important factors, IMO. It doesn't matter if the car is a "2020" made on June 25th or a "2021" made on July 8th.
If I'm in the minority and folks really do worry about this stuff, what I think Porsche should do is...
There will be little, if any difference between the 2020 and 2021 models. To me this isn't a big deal, but for those who cancel I'm sure your making another buyer very happy to get there's a little bit sooner.
"A newly developed, automatically switching two-speed transmission on the rear axle ensures noticeably improved dynamics. The extremely short-ratio first gear benefits initial acceleration, while the long-ratio second gear holds acceleration reserves for high-speed manoeuvres." - Taycan Brochure...
I'm not sure your statement is accurate. Yes, 1st gear is used in Sport and Sport Plus, but only during launch control and possibly if you're doing 20 and push the accelerator to the floor. Otherwise, even in those modes 2nd gear will be active during normal driving.
My understanding is that first gear is only used during launch control for the additional boost. Second is the primary gear which the Taycan will use while driving normally.
Even with the first vehicle having iterations, the upcoming Roadster has been touted as the 'second generation' or '2.0' by many publications. I doubt many people are aware of first model iterations. I wasn't.
Because of the US 'Performance Package' I didn't consider not including the Sport Chrono Package. If a customer (like me) wanted Rear Axle Steering, PDCC Sport, and PTV+, it was as if the Sprot Chrono and Electric Sport Sound were included free of charge.
