Thanks, yeah, I'm aware. I fixed the autocorrect for you. The point was putting "white" in the name makes it a less popular choice. But I appreciate you both attempting to explain something I already know to me instead of congratulating the OP.
Carrara White is such a great color. I honestly think if they just called it "Carrara" and didn't mention white, more people would order it. It's very distinct, unlike most white paints.
I'd strongly consider it if I ordered a new Taycan and your car is lovely!
I think the only way you could do this is if you drove a semi on the route, sticking to the speed limit, and drafted it the whole way. I bet that's what they did.
With just normal hypermiling and super lucky charger stops I think 4 and a half hours is by far the best case scenario.
You said yourself that you were disappointed, so no, the car isn't for you. Don't overthink it. Great car but that doesn't mean it's for everyone! The options make a little difference here and there but a Taycan is still going to be a Taycan.
Just to piggyback on this, the other way to think of the PB+ is as an investment in the future.
A) You might suddenly need more range one day
B) EV Batteries degrade and you will lose range over the life of the car.
$5k for 14 more kWh is well, well, well worth it IMHO and you will never go...
PSCB shouldn't be the problem. It takes a LOT of braking to even engage mechanical brakes, almost all of the brake pedal travel is regen braking, this sounds more like an issue with regen working properly.
Take it in immediately and make it clear the brakes are effectively not working...
Buying out of state is usually a breeze but I'd be shocked if any Porsche dealerships are offering allocations to out of state buyers at the moment.
In our area Beaverton is the best dealership, IMO. The 3 near Seattle are just terrible, terrible dealerships.
I think Beaverton would give you...
Can you post a photo of the trip computer from a drive of more than 20 consecutive miles?
The guess o meter is irrelevant. I get 260+ miles of summer range and my guess o meter has never once said anything above 210 or so when I started.
Incorrect. Range mode adds up to 10% of range over normal mode in low chassis height. Tested many, many times. All settings the exact same, just with the dial on Range vs Normal, you can get up to 10% more range in Range mode. Usually closer to 5 or 6% more.
Sorry I saw this thread so late...
Ugly, ugly car but I'm hyped that they got such range out of it! Stuff like this forces other manufacturer's to up their games and it's just good all around for EV owners.
Howdy yall. There was a thread awhile ago discussing what happens if you reach 0% and how much extra battery the car actually has. I couldn't find that thread but I accidentally performed an experiment.
I ran my battery to 0% and until the car stalled and died. Whoops. I was about 8 blocks from...
The guess o meter number doesn't matter. Mine sometimes says 170 or 180 at a full charge, but I still get my normal range.
Have you looked at your kWh/100 mi number for trips with continuous driving for more than 20 miles?
If you have any efficiency numbers for a trip of more than 20 miles...
Let's be honest here, there's no way you could be 100% certain the door was fully closed. Who gets in their car and triple checks the door?
It's possible your latch is faulty enough that it jiggled over a bump or something allowing the door to partially open. I've known people with cars (not...
Gotcha. I've heard mixed reviews from people that have chosen the Porsche option in particular.
The main problem you run into is if you don't like how they did it you'll have to pay to get it fixed. I've known people that didn't like the seams but Porsche told them it was within specs and...
Let me see if I can get my ceramic guy to tell me the product he used. He put something on them that worked really well, they look nice on my car. But I also don't mind plastic in areas likely to take damage, I'm a practical guy.
Don't do it. You've been warned. :CWL:
There are plenty of high quality, reputable shops you can find near you. They will not only do a better job but can be held accountable for their work. Just plan ahead and do it this way, it's just much better for you.
As mentioned above, if you get...
Apps like this can be a bit of guesswork and not the most reliable, as they can't tap into protected systems of the battery.
I'm at 20k miles and do the same trips over and over again. In my experience carefully monitoring range, conditions, soc, efficiency, charging data, etc.. I estimate my...
Is it possible there was a piece of clothing partially stuck in the door or something similar, so the door latched but didn't get a full seal? Were the conditions cold and/or possibly icy?
A door closing enough not to trigger a warning but still able to partially open (while remaining latched)...
