Has anyone else had the notification saying that a "map update was installed" read aloud, and LOL'ing at the thick New York accent on the word "installed?" As a now-displaced native New Yorker, I always have those updates read aloud by my Taycan, just so I can hear it and have a good chuckle....
Happened to me today. Was making a left turn after being stopped at a traffic light - just a few moments after the turn, all of a sudden violent jerking motion of the car, lost all power in the middle of traffic, came to a complete stop, super dangerous place to just have the car die. "Engine...
Thanks for the responses - for those that bring them to local mechanic - does your State require that they lift the car? I recently moved (Maine), and apparently here they do.
My first Porsche, my first EV.
For those of you in the US where annual State inspections are routinely required - do you bring your Taycan to the Porsche dealer for that to be done, or will any local shop do? I've heard some concerns that non-Porsche shops won't know how and/or have the...
Could someone post tips on how to interpret these VIN sequences? The relevant range for me (4S) in the PDF above is:
Begin : WP0AB2Y16LSA50078
End : WP0AB2Y18PSA36740
And my VIN starts with WP0AB2Y13LSA... , so I'm assuming I'm not in the range - is that correct?
EDIT - after doing a bit of...
Tesla Tap now has Mini versions that feature their proprietary circuit board, but with the rest made in China, at a cheaper price. Compare:

Don't disagree that having paperwork from the dealer is certainly the best, but just thinking about situations where having it correct in the Porsche database would be important too - i.e. if having to call for Roadside Assistance, etc...
Same here - I have the paperwork with the correct date, but I worry that that won’t be sufficient in the future (especially if I have to use a different dealer for service, since I bought from a dealer far from my home).
I recently purchased a CPO Taycan from a Porsche dealer, and opted to pay for the additional year of coverage, or CPO+1. However when I look on my.porsche.com in the Warranty Information section, the warranty end date reflected there only reflects the normal 2 years of CPO coverage.
Anyone...
Thanks, will do just that, appreciate the info! If you happen to have a link to the one you bought that fits the space on the right correctly, that would be wonderful.... Thanks again!
That is extremely helpful, thank you! Looks like mine was delivered with the sealant, but not the compressor. I know that these things (the first aid kit too) are options, but if I got the sealant you would think I should have gotten the compressor too! I'll ask for it, but seems it's no big...
I just got a CPO 2020 4S, and this is what came in the frunk. I've got the sealant bottle, but am I missing the compressor? I have no idea how to use this stuff, have never had a car that supplied these things as opposed to a spare of some form... Sorry for newbie question.
