There seem broadly to be two separate failures that people have experienced: one where the car reports no LTE connection at all, and another where LTE/4G signal appears to be OK, but most services can't connect. Mine is the second flavor. The no-LTE failure seems to fixable by disconnecting the...
9 weeks after Porsche managed to restore connectivity between my Taycan and their servers, a process which took 2 months and included 2.5 weeks in the obligatory Macan loaner while the car was actually in the shop, all connections have failed again.
In my case, just as before, the car still...
I learned the hard way that there are some faults that won't clear automatically, when I accidentally powered the car on with one door card disconnected and removed. After that the car persisted in telling me that the egress warning wasn't working. This was cleared up by my dealer, who was kind...
My MY25 had this problem from new. It's a hardware problem; the fix is to have the charging port door assembly replaced. Details are here.
The big update to PCM 4360 (I'm sure it wasn't the PCM update itself, but one of the many other updates done at the same time) for the J1.2 cars changed the...
Very likely. It certainly sounds like one of the losing bidders is threatening to tie this up in litigation. I was curious who Global Partners were, so I did some quick searching. There are some press releases from earlier this year trumpeting two EV charging stations they installed in New...
I think C8 has been used for radar detectors, and is off when the ignition is off.

This summer, I replaced the 4 all-season tires my Taycan was wearing from the factory with Folgers Cryst--err, Goodyear Eagle summer tires. The old tires only had about 7K miles on them (I don't have their exact milage, because I didn't keep track of when I switched to winter tires, but 7K is...
Huh. Applegreen Electric again.
When I was car shopping last year the salesman at the Lucid place was talking about new Applegreen chargers around New Haven CT, since I had mentioned that was a place I drive to fairly often. There are not many high-speed chargers around New Haven. Since then...
That feature hasn't worked in my car since the PCM software got updated to 4360. I'm pretty sure it worked intermittently before that, but I could be mis-remembering. You can turn that feature on via the app or in the car's charging settings in the PCM. Most of the time when I try to enable it...
I wonder if the window has lost its calibration. Check to see if the right rear window rolls all the way up if you pull the window switch up 2 clicks and then release. If it doesn't, there's a procedure for recalibrating:
1. Roll the window all the way down.
2. Roll the window all the up by...
Thanks for posting this Rowdy; this is the first of the two lists of tasks I was trying to get from my dealer. I'm going to try to get the second list, the one that included the step described as "perform resets per support" from my receipt. Supposedly this list was 2 pages long.
I had also tried disconnecting the 12V supply and leaving it that way for 40m or so in the weeks before my service appointment. I haven't found anyone on this forum reporting that that has restored connectivity on a J1.2, so yes it seems as if that technique is no help on the J1.2s.
My J1.2 is back in my garage today, with its connectivity issues fixed. It was the end of the day when I picked it up and I wasn't able to talk to the service advisor, so I still have frustratingly few details about what actually fixed it, but the answer seems to be:
"performed resets per...
Mostly - it shows a 4G connection and no services, but I've been logged in the whole time. I suspect that if I logged out I wouldn't be able to log back in, but I didn't actually want to try that.
I've been trying to get my hands on the list of tasks ever since Porsche told me they were going...
I too am currently dealing with exactly this. 73 days ago all the connected services in my car became disconnected services. I called Porsche NA directly since dealers haven't had much success resolving these problems on their own. Thus began my latest repair odyssey.
I waited nearly 2 weeks...
It's not just the Macan; the OBC on the J1.2 has been limited to 9.6kW since the update to 4360, which I got back in December. I doubt they did that by accident, but my dealer has no information.
