Hi Tazer
Lovely car!
I get mine 10th Dec.
Do you know if Swindon Porsche have high speed chargers yet?
Would be a good stop over on the way to the West Country, next stop Ionity Cullompton.
Hi Bonglim
If you are willing to pay, I guess anything is possible, but can’t imagine it would be a standard process. Would probably be easier to run around the edge of your drive somehow?
We have HS2 4 miles down the road spending £bns on a white elephant project, and they have some crazy...
@evanevery can I ask why you need the mustart travelmaster? Can you not use the Porsche charger?
Excuse my ignorance still awaiting delivery, but planning long trips already.
It’s another dimension planning where to stay based on Tesla destination chargers!!!
Hi Tom
I have had children and dogs for 28 years and a Taycan would not jump out at me as a great family car.
We have always been very heavy users of cars - 5 of us plus dogs plus roof box. Trips to Scotland, The Lake District and skiing in the Alps. It depends however what you want to do.
If...
@JamieG Had mine fitted Monday, awaiting car now.
The Electrician was on site 6 hours and did an amazing job. I could not have done it neater myself.
He did everything he could to hide the cable.
Not cheap but absolutely worth it and so much better than having cables hanging of a hook at the...
My son is planning to walk the West Highland Way for charity next year and I was looking at the possibilities of driving him up to Scotland and doing the NC500 and a bit of mountain biking whilst he is walking.
Looking at ABRP, the route should be relatively (by EV standards) straightforward...
Hi Paul
Welcome.
if you are in the UK look at an Andersen EV charger. I had mine fitted on Monday and it is a beautiful bit of kit. There are lots of different colour options and the cable is totally hidden. This was a deciding factor for me as I needed it on the front of the house and didn’t...
If Porsche do increase their prices at the beginning of next year, the used prices might begin to look attractive.
Even more so if UK and EU don’t get an agreement over the line.
I for one feel very sorry for the guy. S**t happens, but you do not want it to happen in your new £100k + Porsche the day you pick it up.
Moral of this story:
Let your mates come to you to see your new car, especially if they have a steep drive.
I have just heard from my dealer after chasing him for a week.
I ordered 26th Aug, build was 3rd Nov and I had been told delivery 28th Nov. The latest is that the car has now arrived at Sheerness and his best guess is delivery will be possible middle of next week. I will believe that when I see...
Porsche GAP cover should as has already been stated be a standard £599.
I tried a few companies on line, but either couldn’t get cover because of the price of the car or the policy was not 5* Defaqto rated.
Only issue for me is that it covers 3 and not 4 years. The gap should however be much...
I am having this same issue here with the porch dealer. They are refusing to put me as the registered keeper and I even referred them to this thread. They are stating because it is finance, the finance company need the owner to be the registered keeper therefore that they cannot do it.
No issue...
Does anyone know if the IONITY account for UK drivers works on the continent? I have not taken delivery yet (one week to go) but have a trip planned to Germany and to Poland next year and easy use of IONITY chargers would be a bonus.
On the Porsche range calculator the 20” Aero wheels have better range than the standard 19”. This is assumes 85% motorway use, which I would have thought is most affected by the wheel size.
Is the "driver card" that you need to keep with you like a credit card, or something bulkier? The picture from the GTK guide above makes it appear almost like another key fob. I guess I'm asking - will it fit into a wallet like a credit card or it is more of a thing that goes on a keychain...
i I think it depends in whether you have PVTS or PVTS+
The above is from the manual posted on the forum earlier in the year and would suggest that the standard system is operational without intervention.
I haven't lookedI to it yet and take delivery in 2 weeks, so no expedience yet, but my...
