That’s interesting, I started out only IONITY but now Fastned and severa Total/ Engie stations have been superb on 3 or 4 round trips to the Alps. They have all been reliable, fast and are being installed in big numbers so no queuing where Ionity tend to have only 4 or 6 and can get busy.
The...
Lot of good points here and agree the car that suits you best is a very personal thing so good luck to the OP with the Panamera. I have a slightly different take on EV trips with the family as I'm finding them less stressful.
I think having a dog and bringing it on holiday is brilliant for EV...
Update: had another attempt today and it worked!
Mine has moved forward a few steps finally but still not working, the car now connects and starts up but then fails. Tried several times. This is the screen it then switches to.
Have a pretty definitive comparison now, if not wholly scientific. Holyhead to London, one year apart, did the last bit on the M40 in 2023 and M1 in 2024 so slightly different distances but same average speed. Only difference I would say is that it was a lot cooler this year, maybe 14c v 22c...
Do you still have it working? I have had the car in with my dealer for the warranty heater fix and they had it working on their phones using my login details but it still doesn't work on mine.
I had to clamber in through the passenger door last week in a car park, avoiding which was exactly...
Does this definitely work? My car is in for the heater replacement, warranty not a failure, and they’ve checked it and it works on their phones. They’ve told me it could be an issue with an iPhone 15 Pro.
At this point I’m willing to try anything to get it working as when you actually need it...
There’s a Catch-22 there, you can’t connect to the car for CarPlay/Android Auto or Bluetooth if you’re hotspotting. That was when I bought the Vodafone thing
I posted somewhere else about the best way to make the rear screens functional in case you're interested. They're atrocious in their standard setup, I've had an apology, and once you use up the data allowance (about 6 hours of streaming) they can't function until the data allowance renews the...
I have this and a Thule 4 bike towbar rack. It's ridiculously over-engineered and not as simple to fit. We're off to Ireland soon for a bike event and 2 friends are coming too, normally I'd bring their bikes on the Thule but can't now as this only holds 2 so they have to fly with bike boxes...
Noise is no different, on a nice piece of road at 70mph I was getting 62-65db per my Apple Watch, little different to previously. Car is still whisper quiet. Comfort is still superb, again there is no perceptible difference.
Can't comment on grip as I don't tend to push the car to the limit...
I just fitted Hankook ION Evos to my 20s when I put the Summer wheels back on, not NF0 like the 19s and 21s, and so far appear to be +10% range compared to previous trips. Getting 3.1mi/kwh on a 120 mile round trip where I'd rarely seen better than 2.8 (that's 20kwh/100kms v 22) and I checked...
I took the plunge when putting the Summers back on in April and fitted Hankook ION EVOs to my 20s. Due to a Friday afternoon puncture late last Summer coming back from holiday I had 2 crappy tyres at the back (other option at the time was to wait 4 days near Lyon for Pirellis) so was changing 2...
