No contact with the servers since 10th of November. Has nothing to do with what/when/where you charged last or similar circumstances. Lots of Taycan-owners here in Norway with same problem - so I'm hazarding a guess that this is world wide. Just keep calm and wait it out - the German...
Use my Taycan as a DD as well as the mountain cabin express & snowplow all year round. Definitely dedicated winter tires, Nokian Hakka 3s on 20” Momos. Works a charm, see some of my posts from last winter;

Norwegian winter
Hi all, I have the 18 way sport seats and great as they may be when driving "spirited" - they do tend to cramp up my left leg/hip after a couple of hours drive (I know.. it's an age thing). My back is old and has suffered a few prolapses during the years, so I was wondering if anyone have come...
Luckily not had the issue reappear since last year. Dealer did a PCM "update" in February - which to my reckoning was already done, then I had the big March-update done two weeks back - and all has been well since..... *fingers crossed*
I just turned it anti-clockwise and let it stay where it stopped then opened the door. No need to turn it back and remove the key (I think you just locked it again by doing so)
Like Cinbow stated above, once you start driving the car properly - you just can't be without it!
There's always maintenance needed on any type of car, the Taycan is no exception. However, I've had around 20 cars in my life (so far) - and the Taycan is the best allround drive ever (and I've...
Yes, got it to work now by repeatedly pressing the CarPlay icon!
I usually raise my car manually when coming into my driveway. Today after doing so and pressing “Park” the car asked me if I wanted to save the raise location. Not sure how to set this when actually driving (e.g. going over...
Picked up the Taycan today, PCM replaced and upgrades done. Initially no DAB, Apple Music or wireless CarPlay. There was two media updates in queue - so installed those, switched the car from Private Mode to my profile and DAB & Apple Music was back.
Wireless CarPlay is still not working, and...
Well, tomorrow it‘s been a week since I dropped the car off for the upgrade. No word from dealer since Thursday, so not feeling all to optimistic of having it back this coming week even. I’d be inclined to agree with those here that thinks it’s very dependent on the dealer’s competence in...
If it‘s any consolation (which it isn’t) - the distance from Norway to Stuttgart isn’t all that huge on a globe - but lemme tell ya about real life.... going into day 4 on my update - no word from the dealer today regarding PCM replacement. Good thing I’m old and have long since learned not to...
I get that, - but what worries me then is whether the “new” PCM actually IS up to date - or if they have to patch that one up as well, the way it is with any piece of upgradable consumer hardware these days - the first thing you have to do with a tablet, iPad, smart watch etc is downloading...
Best of luck! I still have a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that we run a risk of the PCM being bricked.... good thing the BMW convertible just came back from the shop with new transmission & clutch (long story), so at least I have a fun car to drive while Porsche sources parts...
Dropped car off at dealer yesterday for the update. Got a call today that the PCM is bricked and no screens are working. Replacement has to be ordered. Apparently they've already had this happen with a couple of cars, and they only started doing the upgrade week before Easter.....
How can...
@W1NGE thanks. Will check the setup after work today. Quite by coincidence I got an email from the dealer 10 minutes after posting here that I could book a date for the big update. I thought that was rather amusing :). So week after Easter this should all be sorted, I guess....
On Sunday the passenger side mirror decided to readjust itself showing a nice view of the sky instead of the road. I adjusted it, and when reversing it naturally decided to show me the ground, so we did a bit of back-and-forth negotiations that didn't really resolve much. Next up was my seat...
I can definitely second that. I've seen people managing to plow their way until they're stuck half a click down a skiing slope because the app told them there's a road there somewhere...which it is... in summer!
Road trip through Norway in winter would definitely be an experience. I did the reverse trip in summer a couple of years back, but with my BMW touring. Quickly driving up through the forests in Sweden & Finland, then down again through Norway by way of Nordkapp & Lofoten.
I’m halfway planning...
I would not consider going anywhere in winter over here with anything less than proper winter tires on such a heavy and powerful car. Insurance would be void in case of an accident without proper ”shoes”.
