  1. December 2021 Delivery

TYD has been broken over the last week with no updates. Best to ask your dealer for the latest right now.
  2. Fog Horn Blow- Who is on the Glovis Chorus

Well these things happen. If you look at the Santa Marta port, all the berths are currently occupied so nowhere for the ship to go anyway.
  3. New Taycan models launching at LA Auto Show on Nov 17! -- Sport Turismo and/or GTS?

Porsche always has lots of different models with minor differences. There are 24 separate models of the Panamera available to configure on Porsche USA right now.
  4. Transitioning from Taycan to Etron GT

Congratulations, and thanks for sharing! I am actually going in the other direction. I currently have a (base) e-tron GT and have a Taycan Turbo S on a boat right now scheduled to be delivered early December. The quality of the interior for the e-tron GT is very good, but I think it is a bit...
  5. December 2021 Delivery

Thanks, and yeah that seems more realistic. 1800 nautical mile journey @ 15 knots = 5 full days.
  6. December 2021 Delivery

Glovis Chorus folks: the ship has left Newark on its way to Santa Marta before hopefully crossing the Panama Canal on its way to the West Coast. ETA to Santa Marta is currently the morning of the 12th.
  7. Fog Horn Blow- Who is on the Glovis Chorus

I am. Right now TYD says arrival at Benicia on Thanksgiving Day and delivery on 12/3. No current campaigns on the car, so fingers crossed for a quick turnaround at the port.
  8. Proposed U.S. $12,500 tax credit . . . BUT

The outline is similar to what is outlined here: https://www.detroitnews.com/story/business/autos/2021/09/10/democrats-unveil-new-ev-tax-credit-proposal-boost-unions/8267723002/, which also includes reporting about the MSRP cap. I wish they did a phase out over 10K instead of a hard cap though.
  9. Proposed U.S. $12,500 tax credit . . . BUT

I saw the summary over on r/electricvehicles: To be fair I don’t know what the final legislative text says.
  10. Proposed U.S. $12,500 tax credit . . . BUT

It doesn’t matter to Taycan buyers, since the tax credit will only apply to cars with a <55,000 MSRP. It will be interesting to see what this does for adoption for mass market EVs, especially since VW is going to start building ID4s in Chattanooga.
  11. December 2021 Delivery

Yeah I think that date is just bouncing around and Porsche is probably adding some buffer due to TPMS delays, etc... If we have no outstanding items on our cars, then port processing shouldn't take too long.
  12. Taycan Waiting Room: Who has ordered and a delivery date?

Should be fine, cars destined for AZ are unloaded in San Diego, and RORO ports are operating normally. Your car might be stuck at port for other reasons though (e.g. missing chips).
  13. December 2021 Delivery

It has actually already left Emden and is heading to Zeebrugge for more cars before making its way across the Atlantic.
  14. December 2021 Delivery

My TYD dates just updated: On Vessel: 10/29/21 on the Glovis Chorus (originally 11/12) Entry Port / Port Processing: 11/19/21 (originally 12/10) Delivery: 11/26/21 (originally 12/10)
  15. December 2021 Delivery

My car going to Benicia is now assigned to the Glovis Chorus.
  16. December 2021 Delivery

Looks like just no ships from Emden has a scheduled stop at Benicia after the RCC Europe departed Emden on Oct 5th.
  17. December 2021 Delivery

GTDrivershop over on Rennlist posted this new export schedule from Emden. Siem Plato is the next ship heading to Canada and Texas (leaving Emden 10/27), Siem Confucius is the next ship heading to Davisville, Baltimore, and Jacksonville (leaving Emden 11/2). Meanwhile, for us West Coast folks...
  18. December 2021 Delivery

I messaged @Climax_F82, who has been super helpful.
  19. Ordered RWD in March, still no delivery date?

I have a fairly complete build on a 2022 Taycan Turbo S (passenger display, burm, night vision, innodrive, sport pasm...) and it got built in a week earlier this month. Now at Emden waiting for a boat.
  20. December 2021 Delivery

The delays are mainly at Long Beach and other container ports. The RORO ports of San Diego and Benicia don't seem to have ships waiting. My gut feeling is that we probably won't see major port congestion in terms of delays unloading the ships because production volumes have gone down due to the...
