You will need a 100a circuit to run a hardwired 80a wall connector in order to deliver up to 19kW to your new Taycan.
Maximum amperage on a 50a circuit is 40a if you comply with U.S. electrical code (NEC). You can use a NEMA 14-50 plug-in wall connector up to 40a; 48a and up need to be...
Take a look under your seat with a flashlight. It could be the ANA5 NHTSA recall pertaining to the seat wiring harness getting fouled in the seat motor and tearing.
NHTSA - Check for Recalls
You're correct, it's really not a big deal unless you're trying to break the Cannonball EV record or something. Taycan still charges super-quick on 150 kW.
Generally try not to use the Porsche navigation until I am within 50-100 miles of the next DC Fast Charging station for battery pre-conditioning only. I use Waze, Apple Maps, or Google Maps for most of the navigation because the Porsche navigation routes are ludicrous most of the time.
Thanks, I was unsure about any connection with ANA6 recall, though the software update in question would appear to directly affect some of the PCM issues, though not all of them.
Could this upcoming software update have anything to do with U.S. NHTSA ANA6 recall? Curious what people are thinking here as I was expecting hardware replacements for ANA6; realizing we do not know what we do not know at this point.
If the vehicle components (brakes, front motor, cooling system, charging system) were hot and the rain was fairly cool or cold, one would expect steam. If the car is operation correctly and there are no warnings, probably nothing to worry about.
Monitor and enjoy the car. Can always send a...
Could be the leather is delaminating from the backing. Just a guess as I have never seen the inside of the leather covers.
Sorry to see this in your Taycan. Hope it is resolved smoothly soon.
The Taycan is pretty quiet without the thermal and noise insulated glass. If its really important to you, get it, though if there's another option you would get that is perhaps more important don't feel as though you missed-out on the insulated glass.
It really should not matter what type (PHEV, BEV) of vehicle has charged using the wall connector. The status of the wall connector and its AC power supply are most important. Your Taycan probably has a 48a maximum electrical current draw unless you optioned the 19.2kW onboard AC charger.
Your...
Sounds terrible, very sorry to read what happened.
FWIW, CCS is not a "destination charger" or Level II AC wall connector.
What you might have intended to write was Type II (J-1772) destination charger which is essentially the top section of the CCS connection alone.
CCS is for DC Fast...
