Forgot to mention that most of time the car is driven by my wife who isn't doing high speed corning or driving aggressively per se. I do drive it spiritly 30% of the time but no track use or even canyon runs.
I need help with an alignment questions. TIA!
My driver side rear tires keeps on losing air, but I can't find any nails. I brought it to my local tire shop, no nail was found but they said that it's due to poor alignment wearing out the inside severely. As you can see in the picture, the tire...
Lol, you're probably right.
I looked a bit more, I guess I needed to look at the end of some older posts where people are commenting. Not a lot of new posts, unless I'm just blind lol.
Not sure if I'm just not looking at the right places, I don't see people really talking about the ARB6 recall. Apparently it's ready now. I dropped off the car today, and got a 911 convertible as a loaner so no complaints from me!
Anyone else got the notice and started the process?
Sounds...
On your Taycan do you have this option: 150kw/400v onboard DC charger?
If not, you will be slower on Tesla superchargers because they're based on 400v architecture, unlike EA which is 800v
Got the new cable yesterday. It's the same size as the previous cable, at least it's the same from the outside.
I never had issues before, hoping this new cable doesn't jinx it.
Thank you for the information! I'll make sure to ask for the newer cable. I was told that one is being ordered for me, so hopefully that means the newer one is what I'll get.
My recall # is WRA6, I'm not sure if this makes things different.
The local dealership told me that my Mobile Charger Connect is being recalled, they will give me a replacement. Anyone else get this?
I searched and only found the recall for the mobile charger plus. I hope they didn't make a mistake...
J1.1
Thanks!
I bet this voids your battery warranty, in case you haven't considered that. And probably will affect the battery recall that affects all of us.
I have tuned ICE cars, not sure i'd ever tune the Taycan....
Let's be honest though, many people buy Porsches (or Ferrari, Lambo, etc) to show off. They don't go on spirited drives, and don't push the car even close to their potentials. Those people won't notice the suspension upgrades even if they had it. Am I wrong?
I don't think you can order PDCC without PASM (which I believe it's the active ride that you mentioned). I think you can do that in a 911 but not a Taycan, unless it's different in Europe than in the U.S. I think of the PDCC as an enhancement to, rather than a separate suspension component.
If you want a driver's car, those are essential. Without it, the car feels like a Tesla. With it, you have a Porsche.
Depending on the trim, they are sold in a package called performance package.
Possibly 2 main reasons:
To reduce the strain on the battery and drive train.
Yo sell higher trims for more profit. They charge a heck a lot more for the Turbo S than the 4S.
I saw it on the Carfax report, it mentioned front and rear brake pads were changed. but this being my first electric car, I didn't take into account that the brake wear was going to be minimal, so it didn't raise any concerns since it's pretty typical for a heavy car to change brake pads at...
No signs that it was ever tracked. The car was pristine in and out. Minimal rock chips up front, for example. Track use would have certainly showed more wear and blemish on the paint.
