I have opted for rear seat entertainment, don't imagine it will have much impact on the range but expect it to be a joy on long drives. Our Cayenne (MY2010 but we've had it since 2016) has it and the kids adore it. It also means we can listen to our music, podcasts or whatever while the kids...
Here’s one an owner on tne FB page kindly sent me the day before I finally locked down in June.
We chickened out and went Neptune Blue over B’berry in tne end.
Car landed in Sheerness 11 days ago and it’s still not at the dealer. All the outstanding questions based on what I’ve seen here...
My app was showing nothing forever, elevating my frustration levels no end given I ordered in July 21. After several 'chats' with my SA and Porsche GB neither of whom had a clue why it wasn't showing up I did a full check on everything they sent me and it turned out Porsche had turned Gmail to...
Just got a phone call to tell me my car is at the port. Marvellous.
Now I am investigating the winter wheels

Hard to argue with that but we wanted an EV as a main family car and I’m not sure what else we’d have got in tne meantime. We had a new Model X LR on order from Jan 21 but when they rang in April 21 to say it would be mid 23 minimum we decided to see if a Taycan CT would work size wise, I’m...
That is a strong interior/exterior combination you've got coming, bravo! I've seen photos of one car in that spec and it looked great. We almost went that way because it was in a pop up where we holidayed and looked utterly amazing but decided on Neptune Blue in the end.
Admittedly every...
This one really winds me up, it is not road tax it's a vehicle tax. It doesn't go to the upkeep of the roads it goes into the general tax pot with income tax and so on. This change was initiated in the 1930s but some people still use it as a trope to abuse cyclists who, fun fact, also pay...
We're getting both, I love the variety of opinions on these matters, my wife was adamant that we got the ORDP, I wasn't particularly fussed, it was the only option she expressed a strong opinion about aside from colours. She thought it gave the car a great stance, ORDP in black with black...
My wife's ID3 has them and they are absolutely incredible, I wouldn't buy a car without them now I've seen them in action. I do fret that I've paid a lot of cash to option the exact same system that came standard on the VW though.
If I was in the US though I don't think I'd bother for now.
Ah ok thanks I had been looking at the KESS site and didn't see Dublin on it and wondered what they did. NI trickier I guess with customs but does seem an awful faff to ship to Grimsby, transport across the country and ship to Belfast when it's 2 hours drive from Dublin port.
Can you still do...
My car has docked in Sheerness now, 7 days later. No word on any bits missing yet but it's still showing as Scheduled for Production on the app. It is scheduled to spend 2 weeks in the Port though so maybe they have work to do on it. Either way it is very welcome progress.
Just noticed your location, do you get cars shipped via Sheerness/Grimsby or do they go direct to Dublin/Belfast and get distributed? Apols if you or Tigerbalm have already answered this elsewhere.
What is your current phase on the app out of interest? My car exited production Nov 9 and is now at Emden but I'm still showing on the app as Scheduled for Production and the Production images bit of code says 'null'.
Just got an email from the dealer to say the car is built. I didn't quite believe it so asked for the screenshot and have now seen that it was built yesterday and should be in Emden tomorrow, sailing next Friday.
I'm still convinced something will go wrong but this is the first TCT good news...
What is your latest update Frank? You seem to be the only other person from July 21 left! I'm supposed to exit build Friday but as above not feeling too hopeful
I'm quite jealous of all of these pictures, mine still hasn't shown up in MyPorsche in any way shape or form despite being scheduled to exit build this Friday. Dealer has been telling me it's run from Germany since May when I got the invite to set up MyPorsche and nothing to do with them...
Agreed but annoyingly they make very good cars. Had a Model Y hire car over half term in Spain and it just emphasised how good the Taycan is. If I really had a hissy fit I'd get an iX but the beauty of the TCT is getting back to an estate and away from SUV/SAV. It seems they know that but...
