I am rather surprised that a code push like this isn't something they can do OTA at this point. I appreciate that they are following the NTSHA and are reporting these things (unlike another unmentioned company), but I would love to see things like this move toward an OTA push after a...
I found myself doing the exact same thing while I was playing the waiting game. Did a full reno on the garage and it's been good busy work while I was neurotically checking TYD :)
Sure thing. Haven't painted the walls in the garage yet, as you can see. Did throw down flooring and get the whole thing organized while waiting for my order to progress. Need to get around to mudding, sanding and painting as the weather cools. :). I ended up throwing the sub-panel in an alcove...
I thought about doing that, but I genuinely like the footprint of the wall connect v3 a lot more than the porsche option. Time will tell how well it charges and if I stick with it though. It's crazy that I was able to order my 4S in July and take delivery last Friday on October 8th. My delivery...
I ran a dedicated 150amp sub-panel to my garage and have a 60amp circuit with Tesla Wall Connect version 3 installed and an 80amp Tesla tap for the Taycan usage. I did all of this when I expected that my '21 Model S order was going to come to fruition on my stated delivery date (suprise...
In my head when I've visualized it it was an easy decision. Hopefully it looks as good as I've envisioned. It's looking like Friday might be the day I get it. Since I've already signed on my car and it's mine I don't think the stop sale is going to halt me taking possession right now either from...
I think this might be a situation of normal deliveries missing parts. I talked to my SA and he isn't aware of any stop sale right now. He mentioned mine was missing the TPMS sensors, and that it was luckily released from port without them, but that they swapped them in on the fly from other...
I tend to agree with Kyle's take on the appearance of the Lucid Air. When I first saw the release, I joked with a friend that works at Tesla that sent it to me and told him it looks like a Buick. Kyle's take on it seems to suggest I wasn't completely out of line. I really like his reviews. Super...
I'm still surprised at the overall 'Toyota Camry' look of the Mercedes EQS exterior. It just kind of baffles me on their design engineering for it. It doesn't fit the brand at all in my opinion.
I should have the car back on Friday, or worst case early next week. I'll grab pictures with indoor lighting in the garage and outdoor lighting so that you can see the overall spectrum of how it ends up looking.
Best of luck on shipping and I hope you run into no delays.
Technically I haven't taken possession of mine. I finalized all paperwork and took ownership on Friday, but the dealer sent my car on a trailer first thing today to their preferred partner to do a full Xpel wrap, ceramic and tint. I'm curious if I'll get a hold. Haven't caught up with my SA...
I'm supposed to catch up with my SA sometime this evening. We've been playing phone tag today since he's working on sourcing some monochromatic wheel caps for me. When I talk to him I'll make sure to ask if there's anything he's heard. Maybe it's a CT thing or a specific production range. If I...
I just took ownership / signed on mine on Friday. I haven't heard this at all. Mines a 21 4S. Not saying it isn't a thing, but I haven't heard anything.
Anyone have any pics of a standard white Taycan with the Xpel Stealth wrap on it? Mine gets trailered to have the wrap + ceramic coat + tint tomorrow. I'm getting a bit nervous today only because I've never see the plain white with a stealth wrap on it. I've seen it with the CWM and it looks...
I've seen a handful of cars on here that look beautiful with the monochromatic emblems and clear turn signals on their wheels and possibly hood. I can't seem to find out how to obtain these, yet they would look amazing on my car given it's entirely white/black.
Does anyone know how/where the...
Also, if you're doing stealth or any wrap that changes the finish, you're going to want to do the entire car rather than a small portion of it. If you're only doing a bra or the front quarter, stick with a clear wrap.
