I would have liked to have ESS on mine (even if I kept it off most of the time), but it's missing from my build. I don't think I can justify a retrofit of it to be honest. It's costly and a ton of work to retrofit it. Maybe I'll change my mind after driving a bit without it and I'll spring for...
You aren't the only person. I've been slowly buying up little things here and there from various places like suncoast and getporscheparts while biding my time watching TYD :) It's made the waiting period for the last couple months more enjoyable with little things arriving every once in a while.
It is. A friend's Audi E-Tron makes the spaceship sound at low speeds in parking lots at my kid's school pickup line. I'm curious if the Taycan will effectively do the same thing. I'm fairly certain he doesn't have an added sound package.
Do you have a link to a preferred purchase site for the Xpel interior solution? I wouldn't mind picking it up to have it ready when I take possession this month. I just snagged the chemical guys applicator you recommended.
Thanks in advance!
Correct. It's actually quite complicated to install too. I looked into it to see if I could retrofit it myself. If you don't have an answer by the time I can either see or take ownership of mine, I'll try my best to get an answer. The car is supposed to arrive at the local dealer in the next day...
Just to keep this on topic, the OP isn't asking about sport sound. They are asking what the standard 'pedestrian awareness sound' that's mandatory sounds like. Unfortunately, I don't take delivery of mine for another week, otherwise I'd provide some kind of useful feedback.
PB+ is worth it if you ask me. If it generally meets what you want, and it's ready and available I'd say go for it. The benefit of a guaranteed Credit would be nice as well. Technically it offsets your PB+ and then some.
Good to know. Thank you very much. I'm brushing up on all the issues/recalls etc, so apologies for the questions. I take delivery of mine finally in 1 to 3 weeks depending on dealer preparation timeline and I'm trying to make sure I'm prepared with knowledge for any issues I may run into as I'm...
Just to confirm, was the car in an inoperable state potentially because of the plug disconnect for ventilated seats? That seems like a pretty extreme failure for such a mundane issue if so, and I'd hope this is something Porsche would rectify in software updates with either better alerted, or...
I'm still super hesitant to entertain anything given the history of Fisker and watching those failures first hand locally. The Fisker in 2012/2013 looked impressive from the outside, but when you had a chance to really dig in, it felt like a bunch of smoke and mirrors. Then 2017 happened for...
That makes a bit more sense and thank you. It's interesting that news outlets are making a big deal about battery improvements on MY22. I'm curious if these are all software related improvements that will be pushed to prior MY, or if these are hardware level changes that we may miss out on. I'm...
The determination of MY21/MY22 is weird to me. My 4S order was placed 19th June, production was completed on 28th July. It's a MY21, but it seems like there's been a mixture of MY21/MY22 coming out. I'm curious what determines the production year on order. Typically when there's a model year...
I'm in the same position as well, but I'm a bit skeptical. Mine left factory end of July and is a MY21 4S with a pretty heavy load of add ons.
I've been told there are no open campaigns on my delivery and everything is proper. It's 2 days away from Houston on the Siem Cicero. I'm not getting my...
I have an order outstanding on one from GetPorscheParts. I was notified that it's delayed and that it is shipping direct from Germany/Manufacturer. The ETA for delivery is Oct 29, 2021. It seems like there are still some out in the wild if you're really interested in one.
Yeah, I don't really want to get into cutting the insulation in the door panels, and dealing with routing wiring harnesses and then having to go back for rework if there are rattles and issues. It looks entirely manageable, but it definitely looks to be a tedious project that will likely involve...
I ordered back in July and was lucky enough to snag an allocation. My order is currently sitting in Baltimore (Siem Cicero) awaiting either another trip to Houston, or a release and delivery to my local dealer. That being said, there is a Taycan Turbo sitting here on the lot where I live. If...
I do think the Taycan is gaining traction in the US. I had a reservation for the new S release since early Spring that was supposed to be delivered in September of this year. Tesla delays, primarily business decisions on filling reservations for people that paid the 10k price increase after July...
