Ah yes, use my dial loads, really helps with driver involvement. Def worth an upgrade if not too much hassle! Guess the only way to find out would be get a wheel and give it a go! ( or hope someone else does)..
So, took my under bonnet plastics out a couple of days back to get to the 12v battery.
Quite shocked to see so much debris and 2 rusty bolts on the strut tops. Only rusty on passenger side (uk car).
Anyone else seen this? Car now out of warranty but pondering on complaining? Car was serviced...
Just to update , been back to Porsche for service and they say it can’t be fixed. They’ve admitted it was a Porsche system backend issue a couple of years back, and have written this on the service but say it can’t be changed!! Not really happy as not good enough really. Surely they can amend...
So, decided to pop to an independent Porsche place near me today to see if they could clear the airbag light. They don’t work on taycans ( older Porsches really). They plugged in but apparently the car wanted to re program some modules before allowing it to go to the airbag screen and they...
In principle it’s straight forward. It’s just the wires/plugs are so difficult to get out. It’s very stressful, but maybe that’s just me! Kicking myself for reconnecting the battery when I didn’t need to!
What’s a non jog wheel? If you mean the steering wheel dial which changes normal/...
Yeah, the car thieves might leave it when they see the airbag light on for health and safety reasons..
I’m sure 5 year old taycans (with airbag lights on!) are not top of the list of car thieves crawling the internet for prey? ( especially if they have read half the threads on this forum!)...
So, put my big boy pants on today and decided to fit my wheel.. now wishing I hadn’t!
It was raining, thought I would disconnect the 12v battery ( should have just put In sleep mode as per instruction!) and with the rain and the wind the door shut when I was outside and couldn’t get back in...
Is this an easy job? Eg just the screws along the bottom? Do you need to remove wheel arches at all? How do you get aces to the bolts behind the front wing?
So, no one had actual experience of an inspection and any pointers?
Just looking at this list do they genuinely expect you to have manuals/ maintenance booklets to get the extended warranty? I do have them so not an issue just surprised…
Tyre kit did catch my eye. Mines out of date. It was...
Options wise, probably just the pan roof if I spec’d this time round. although I do love the steel roof look with the twin bumps. Maybe a seat upgrade, but can cope. Also, sound system is rubbish but again not high on my priority list, so still overall happy with my spec. Would love the sports...
All valid points and considerations. I’ve moved away from a ‘beater’ to do the commute miles in ( 100 a day) and option 1 was a new electric Mini Cooper JCW but it’s an 9 month wait for one ( but cheap option). Option 2 is a Macan turbo EV that has become available in the pool once the guys new...
Ah, ok didn’t know this. How do you do this?
My filter says needs replacing but going for Porsche service next week.
Would replacing yourself mean any issue maintaining Porsche service history? And would they just charge you to replace anyway if full dealer maintained?
So, long story short but I spec’d my car and had it since new, but it was a company car and fully funded by the company for 5 years.
I was given the opportunity to buy it for a decent price and ignoring every sensible bone in my body I decided to buy it. I love the car! It came with a 3 year...
