Thanks - that's really helpful. I have requested the 111 check point report - it was never offered when I took ownership. The fact that they signed off the car when it was patently not appropriate to do so does raise a number of red flags...
I have a mileage tracker in my car so I ensure I invoice clients for correct mileage when travelling on business. I noted that I only did around 25 trips over 230 miles last year, so I'm hoping to generally avoid public charging. That said - I did a quick charge at a station when driving the...
I recall somewhere that someone stated the inconvenience of charging was off-set by the knowledge that you've always got a 'full tank' in the morning (albeit a slightly small tank) and a warm car waiting for you...
Driving the Taycan is quite unlike any car I've previously driven. It is without doubt the best and does put a smile on my face. I think I do miss the 'aural theatre' of decent engine to go with the speed - but I guess I'll get used to that...
Yep - I explained patiently to them that this was not correct and they should check their own website!
Got another advisor who was a little more helpful - explained that it took a while for my smart meter to connect to their system which was the reason for the issue.
All now sorted - but just...
It was tampering with the cable I was/am concerned with. No cable -one less thing to worry about.
The PMCC appears to have a three pin plug cable to the unit, a CCS out of the unit and a third cable with three phase plug. What I needed was a cable from the wall charger to the car. I was sold...
To also add to my increasing frustration, I'm trying to get signed up for Octopus Go. Checked the website for compatible chargers, went with approved type. Tried to get onto the tariff, which requires vehicle reg to be typed in, only to generate an error. Rang Octopus to be informed that they...
I've been told that they have ordered the part and will fit it early next week. There are no outstanding recalls noted for the car, so either it was done and failed anyway or the recall system isn't 100% accurate...
Yes indeed.
LTE is there - I had to refresh the link with my phone (even though showing it was connected) and this did the trick - now appears to be back in sync.
I took my phone into the car and connected via bluetooth. Still no change to My Porsche app charge indicator. This suggests that either there is an issue or the car tranfers data via 4G signal not bluetooth?
I got a non-tethered charger (call me untrusting - but it would be able to be accessed by anyone and didn't want to risk tampering). Came with the PMCC but not the Public Charging cable I needed.
Hmm - it is disappointing. The fact that the problem was obviously there at the dealer before I drove off is not good.
They also sold me the wrong charging cable as well...
Fingers crossed that resolves the issue.
Also, the My Porsche app indicated that the battery was charged to 55% - got in the car and it was actually at 98%. I tried reconnecting and updating, but the app is still out of sync/not connecting.
Any advice on this and whether I need to flag as...
