Sorry but I didn't note the software update, but it was done in less than two minutes so it probably wasn't much.
I have the new PCM (colored icons). FYI the factory finished building my RWD on April 25.
Got my 2022 RWD five days ago. Got my first software update yesterday. When finished, as shown in the photo, the dial speedometer (left tube) was in kph while the digital (center tube) was mph. This morning the dial was back to mph.
That's what I did, too. I told my SA (Sales Associate) that I was going to install clear front side markers and get window tint, PPF, and ceramic coating right after taking possession.
Much to my surprise, he said I can have that all done here before you pick up the car. The clear markers...
2021s don't have Android Auto, 2022s have wired Android Auto.
The 2021s might be lemons - best to scrutinize each vehicle's service history and figure out (or ask) why the prior owner walked away. Good luck!
Thanks for the good info. I didn't have the option here in the USA when I ordered. I could only chose 8' / 2.7 m with PMCP (standard) or 25' / 8m with PMCC ($1200 option). I didn't pay extra :). Thanks!
Is anybody else's cable 16 feet long (5 m)? After collecting my RWD three days ago, I took mine out today and was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting 8 feet (2.7 m).
I'm not an electrician, but I think adapters are incapable of changing voltage. A transformer can, however.
If your mobile charger can handle both, I would get a 230V 16A pigtail. Mixing and matching is risky. Please stay safe and don't fry anything.
Very nice write up - clear, simple, and very plainly spoken (happy batteries, really important, let's dig in ...)! Glad you professionally provided feedback about the WSJ article, too. And I like how you started the write-up with an alert to readers that this is mainly for the USA.

Even though some old-timers are gone, there are still plenty of EXCELLENT contributors bending over backwards and paying it forward to help newbies like me.
For which I am profoundly grateful. Thank you!!
No second thoughts.
The 18-way is a significant comfort improvement for me because I'm slim (1.9 m, 77 kg). Without the thigh bolsters (A) and the torso bolsters (B), I'd be sliding around in the seat.
I can't comment on your #1 other than by urging you get exactly what you want. Perhaps another forum member...
Thanks.
Sorry but I don't drive in snow*. Can someone else help please? I don't have the expertise.
* I grew up in southeast Texas and have always lived in warm climates. A lot of my relatives live where there's snow and won't get a vehicle without 4-wheel drive and winter tires.
I concur with @OTPSkipper , having spent over $30K on my RWD. The only 'freebie' from RWD to 4S was the air suspension, and launching a few tenths faster from 0 to 60 mph isn't a big driver for me.
There's lots of great advice from everybody here, but it's your call and it's time to get...
I drove my 2022 RWD home today!
