I have to agree, some visible sidewall is very nice. The 21's are right on the edge, IMHO, and anything larger looks too ghetto for my taste. (Can you sense that I too opted for the 20's?)
That is beautiful! I've got an appointment in a couple weeks to have mine wrapped (black car) which should help matters. But it is good to know that if the wrap doesn't cut it, there is a better option for a perfect match.
This was posted as a public service to (hopefully) deter the teslarati trolls from starting yet another inane "who has considered a model s " thread on this forum. I found it laughable that the addition of a couple new paint colors at tesla was even news. But despite my best efforts, do not be...
Perhaps "never" was too strong a term; I should have said that you will likely only use it someday (long after your taycan is in the auto graveyard) after Elon produces cyber trucks, roadsters, $25K people movers, perfects FSD, and of course, opens up his charging network to his competitors. ?
That is a sweet build. Only suggestion: Ditch the 150kW/400 volt charger option. You will never need it/use it in the US. Instead, use the $500 to buy your wife a nice dinner when you take her out in your new CT!
If you are going to make an artificial noise, you should at minimum make it a cool one (like this i3 Jetsons sound effect).
And perhaps the car could also talk to us in a synthesized voice like the Jetson's dog, Astro, eg "Your whights are whon, Whorge." One more point on the subject...
Tesla Taps definitely do not work in superchargers. The taps are however very handy when spending the night in a hotel and all they have available are a couple Tesla Level 2 chargers. (Thanks for the help, Elon!). With any DC fast charging there is a little romantic software conversation...
I'm in the less is more camp on badges. They are in fact very hard to keep looking good (let us know how the holes in your "e"s and "c"s look in a couple months). My guess is you will either get busy with q-tips to clean, or dental floss to remove. Additionally, the "Electric" logo gives me...
Lemons are lemons. Do not under any circumstances cut these guys one inch of slack simply because your car is a Porsche and you really like the car. The more pressure (legal) they are under the more responsive they will learn to be. The VW Group had a recent tussle with the US plaintiffs' bar...
It is not fake news unless the C&D sources are full of BS. Presumably C&D has enough of a reputation to uphold that it would not, for example, ask a German janitor for his take on upcoming EVs simply to find something to write about. I for one would presume that the undisclosed sources know...
Give the hackers a few years and there will no doubt be gobs of sports sounds, space ship sounds and just about everything else at your disposal. I agree with all the prior posts, however, that the sports sound is ridiculous. (IMO it belongs in a car with a yoke and video games, not a...
I posted the same question a month or so back because I could not find any published weights for Taycan wheels on the internet. No one really had a precise answer. I did however roll the dice and order some aftermarket 20 inch wheels without knowing precisely what I was doing to the unsprung...
Hate the player, not the game! Dealership behavior is, and always will be, inconsistent. I've ordered BMWs in the past and found my first Porsche experience with the Taycan to be on par with one of my local BMW dealers and way above the other. From what I have read, the auto manufacturers...
After your comment, I did look closer and sure enough there is a shadowy figure behind the wheel of the pink Taycan. Only two possibilities: (1) the valet who is going to park her pink car while she meets some gals for lunch, or (2) some dude who drives a pink car who just said something...
I concur. Handing out rebates based upon the union status of a factory is complete bullshit. Just goes to show that it is hard for politicians to build a bridge to the future when they are living in the past. Biden & Co. need to watch a few "How It's Made" videos (preferably from this...
Assuming that virtually nothing is random with respect to product positioning and promotion in a multi-billion dollar industry, one can only wonder what is going on at Porsche HQ. Is their target demographic actually loyal Porsche purists (i.e. the type of people who love performance cars and...
