Yes. It was pretty obvious to me that the "mules" were fairly close to the final design.
All the panels were in place and it was naive to assume that there would be dramatic changes/a clever ploy from Porsche going on.
The front section will look pretty close to the Cross Turismo.
I don’t want to be THAT guy but these sketches look a lot closer to the mules/prototypes we saw a few weeks ago and less like the original Mission E.
Just look a at the bigger/wider air intakes at the front. Same shape. The whole front section/bumper looks the same on the sketches and the...
I’m not sure I’m going to trust that source. The latest information comes directly from the CEO.
The entry-level model with a smaller battery will cost less than €100,000 but will not be available at launch. No further information about the pricing of the launch-model with the bigger battery...
According to Blume the "cheaper" model with a smaller battery will cost less than 100K Euros. But that model will not be available at launch.
That implies the Taycan will cost more than 100K € initially (150K CDN)
The prototypes are not "just mules" in my opinion. The cars are clearly based on the Cross Turismo apart from some details and quite a bit of tape. I doubt Porsche is going to have a totally different body style for the regular Taycan and the Cross/Sport Turismo.
Look at the comparison I found...
I doubt it. The recent images of the prototypes show a car that is basically identical to the Cross Turismo Concept. Same front section.
That's how the Taycan is going to look. The Panamera and the Panamera Sport Turismo are also identical apart from the back.
My predictions: There’s not going to be a Cross Turismo. There’s going be a Taycan and a Taycan Sport Turismo. Like with the Panamera.
And the Cross Turismo-concept is a good representation of the final design of the Taycan-line. Especially the front of the Taycans will look like this concept...
With so many displays in the car I can't wait till we see OLEDs being used - or even better MicroLEDs.
No backlights necessary and perfect black levels. This will improve the experience in the night.
Btw I think the Taycan Cross TURISMO is giving us a good look at the final Taycan-design. Especially the front. Less pronounced fenders, "realistic" lights, different styling of the hood, bigger opening for camera/air intakes on the bumper etc.
The difference this time (compared to previous concept cars) is the fact that thousands of people put money down to preorder the car. And the main reason is probably the design of the Mission E. So if Porsche toned down the design too much for whatever reason some/many people will be outraged...
I hope they didn't change too much apart from the fenders/lights/maybe the spoiler section.
Porsche is pretty aggressive with the promotion/marketing and are showing off the Mission E in apps, auto shows (models), marketing materials and social media all the time. Tagged with the name Taycan...
