Is Audi trying to one up Ferrari (in fugly)?

This looks infinitely better than the Luce, I’m not mad at this design at all.

Long time EV owner going to the darkside? Needs encouragement!

yeah I think this is specific to your location and dealer. Maybe they haven’t invested in EV techs because they want to discourage their clients from buying EVs. Maybe they have techs but drag EV service out because they want people to go back to ICE so their service centers can make more...

What Happens To Us After 8 Years? (When battery warranty expires)

Apples and oranges, the only similarity is how they are powered. Also old model S’ are now 15-16 years old not under 10 years old. Tesla build quality, design (the model S looks largely the same today as it did at the beginning minus the front bubble), support network , use case and frankly...

But I only have 1000 miles!

Probably just automated responses, if you know how the measurements work, you know that both are nearly at brand new levels and there’s nothing to be concerned about. Might be helpful researching what standard measurements are for tires and brakes for future reference, before going into the shop.

    Badge or not

Gloss Black badge would be my recommendation.

"[NA] Porsche owners can now access the Tesla Supercharger network" - Porsche Newsroom

Audi made the announcement as well, it will include most of their EVs (not the Q4 for now at least) they get access tomorrow.

"[NA] Porsche owners can now access the Tesla Supercharger network" - Porsche Newsroom

Availability/ reliability might be the issue. If all things being equal, this makes sense.

WTH??? Is anyone else sick of getting RECALL AFTER RECALL???

It's not permanent, when the initial recall notice went out, because they didn't have a final solution the recommendation was to not charge the car beyond 80%, until they did. However, they have since come up with a "permanent" solution, which should close the loop on this recall, once you...

WTH??? Is anyone else sick of getting RECALL AFTER RECALL???

Agreed. A fix and an extended "warranty" on the issue that has been worked on. And while I can understand the OPS frustration, the majority of these recalls have been handled in under 48 hours (at least for me). I was in last week for the voltage battery recall, dropped the car in the morning...

Porsche is now listed on Tesla’s site for supercharger access

They already have, I was able to charge at the Rivian chargers outside Joshua Tree several times during the wild fires, back in January.

Audi RS e-tron GT Performance Discounts (already)

Agree with most of your points on the Audi interior, but FYI you don’t have to use the touchscreen after hitting the button to change drive modes. You can click the button multiple times and it will cycle through all modes. That being said, I would prefer a knob on the wheel if that was an option.

    Steering on rear wheels

    Unequivocally, yes.

Need advice on purchasing or leasing Taycan GTS

I’m not a lease guy, so please forgive my ignorance. Can someone explain the math to me here on the leased option 1. If his payments (no money down)are $1500 for 39 months that = $58,500 in payments. If he decides to buy at the end of the lease he can purchase the car for $93,731 (residual)...

How low of a price needed to sell barely used 6k mile loaded 2022 Taycan Turbo S?

*Only true if a private sale, if sold to a dealer the next buyer would not get this benefit unless the car was recertified.

Taycan fails state safety inspection! (sort of...)

I’ve lived in both states, the annual inspection in Mass is a bit inconvenient but I’ll take that and the significantly lower registration fees (every two years to boot) vs the absurd annual fees we pay here in California. I think the first time I registered my car in California for 1 year it...

Porsche Taycan 4S perfect lowering with droplinks

Good thing it’s not your car, so the benefit/risk doesn’t have to meet your requirements. Some people care about stance more than others, some are more concerned about function. OP knows the risk he’s taking, don’t understand the benefit of harping on it.

    G580? (Electric G-Wagon)

It’s not like a Taycan will be hard or expensive to get back into if you don’t like the G wagon. As long as you’re not overly concerned about depreciation or it being the first model year, I say go for it. The Taycan will be waiting if you find you can’t live without it.

Minimum Spec for a USED Taycan.

Panoramic roof, RWS, air suspension, big battery, full leather, massage/vent seats, tint (though can add that after, so perhaps not a must)

EVs not such a good deal in Texas…

I mean there are obvious reasons why Texas is incentivized to keep public electricity prices high for EV charging and gas prices low…
