Agreed, that would be a logistical nightmare.
but what they could do:
Porsche Factory email Porsche UK/USA (wherever the car is going) and inform of missing parts
Porsche UK communicate to delaer that said car will arrive with missing parts and pre approve the order of missing parts.
Dealer...
Agreed, very much a 1st world problem and well aware of whats been going on with other cars. It’s jsut the comms or lack thereof which make it so much worst.
Aware it is a supply issue and wasn’t just forgotten, was more posting for awareness of another reason for delay to our Taycans.
I mention the quality control as in how can the car have any quality control checks for the audio side of things with no amplifier ever fitted.
I feel for the...
So my Taycan CT is finally at the dealer, but has a stop sale as it doesn’t have an amplifier for the Burmester installed apparently.
How it passed any quality control checks for the (very expensive I might add) sound system at the factory is anybodys guess.
It will take 7-10 days to get the...
Just had a phone call, car is built and awaiting transport to Emden docks. Delivery date of 6th May at the dealer but likely to turn up slightly earlier!
It's a lovely spec! Very lucky to nab a showroom car at list price for immediate collection, hats off!
I'm still waiting for my CT Turbo S, have a funny feeling a year may come and go since deposit paid, but hopefully not and it will arrive late April/early May.
I imagine it would be listed at the price, and at the moment they would probably get it.
Take the lovely Oak Green CT that an OPC has offered £3k over list for as an opening bid. £110k car with 300 miles on, I'd guess that would be up for £125k retail.
I know some demo cars are being...
Porsche are able to sell used cars including demonstrators over list, and do quite often.
Should they sell a new showroom car over list.... I imagine Porsche UK would not be too happy!
My car entered the production line last week as per planned dated before the Ukraine crisis. Update today, completion date is pushed back 4 weeks from 18th March to 15th April.
I've gone with the "standard" black on my Turbo S with Crayon/Black interior. I thought the same, the polished plastic looked tacky and added another finish into the car.
Car should have been completing build today (although I guess not) so once it is here I'll get some pictures!
My dealer did not know about the production stops until I informed them late last week.
It seems a rather long delay should be expected. Easily going to be over a year from deposit placed to car arriving.
Have another Porsche on order as well due for September time, I reckon I'll just think...
