Haven’t driven the iX3 but it may have regen like Tesla (activated when lifting foot off the accelerator). Porsche on the other hand blends in regen during brake pedal use for a more natural driving experience (and that regen is powerful). You cannot turn off that regen and it’s always on. Funny...
the other regen is the main regen (always on) and kicks in when you use the brake pedal. Porsche designed it such that regen is blended in with conventional braking when using the brake pedal, for a more natural driving experience.
The regen from brake pedal is always on (you cannot turn it off) and Porsche already has much stronger regen than any other EV. The “auto regen” you are referring to only turns on/off the regen that takes place when you lift your foot off the accelerator. Unless you prefer one-foot driving like...
Mostly the car doesn’t get much attention in the California Bay Area.
Few weeks ago, had a lady walk up to me while I was sitting in the car in a Costco parking lot. She wanted to ask whether the Taycan was a better car than the Tesla Plaid (which her husband owned and was heavily recommending...
My Porsche EVSE has given me Zero problems. Zero, I tell you.
PS: I have yet to unwrap it from its packaging since I prefer my ChargePoint EVSE (thanks to dave)
Reading the comments below the video - Who knew that Tesla fanboy crowd could be as bad as the anti-EV crowd, probably even more hypocritical given they used to piously claim they love all EVs (till another competitive non-Tesla EV arrived on the scene). Thankfully fanboys make up a minuscule...
Wife had optioned the Porsche Design Clock instead of the Sports Chrono for her 2022 Taycan 4S. For the last 2 days, I am noticing that the Porsche Design Clock which is analog, is out of sync with the clock displayed on the instrument cluster by 30 mins. Reseting the clock by going to...
Did they update the UI so that the damned car on the infotainment system doesn't show up in white regardless of what the actual colour of the Taycan is?
* The bubbles, imperfections should be fixed once your PPF is cured and your installer should have already scheduled a session 2 weeks out (at no extra cost). After finalization, it should look better than when you took delivery of the PPF-less car.
* The cuts on the door should not be there...
Good I optioned the onboard 400V DC charger in our Taycan though the nearest EA charger is closer to my house than the nearest Tesla supercharger plus it’s free for another 2.5 years. I haven’t charged at home in months.

Don’t over-index on the morbid sounding name - I was fresh out of school and my boss who named it was German ? (wonderful guy though). I often wonder where do the patent...
Another reason why the charger which came with the car is still in its original shrink wrap packaging while a ChargePoint EVSE charges the Taycan @50A without any issues.
Which is why I don’t lend much ceredence to recall stats for a specific OEM. I would say the blank screen in Tesla is a much large safety hazard than what’s in the Taycan ANA6 recall. I wonder why didn’t NHTSA issue a notice in Tesla’s case?
Absolutely (even though it’s my wife’s car). This car puts a smile on our faces every time we drive it. Our first degree of friends’ circle is almost 100% Tesla (everything ranging from Model S Plaid to Model 3 base) and plenty have been curious to get an experience of how it drives. Most came...
I had a similar impression while driving it. The hardware is just fine and it’s artificially software hobbled. But hobbled it is. The 4S is fast and feels fast but not scary fast unlike the Turbo and Turbo S. Ideal for a daily driver.
