A couple of days ago I noticed the car was very stuffy and uncomfortable and noticed no flow through any of the climate control vents.
I tried going to the menu and selecting different modes and in the individual "moving" the flow direction but still no flow in any setting.
TBH I thought "maybe...
When my car went in for its 2 year service it had just had a 12V battery flat problem and needed some electronic checks but the garage was unable to download any data and spent several days changing stuff but when I got the car back the LCA assistance no longer showed up on the assist menu in...
I have never needed to repair a car before, do I need to talk to insurance first?
Do I need to ask my dealer for a Porsche approved repairer?
Most of the damage is on the rear door but there is a small dent on the front door too, am I likely to need new doors?
All advice and comment welcome...
I just had a weekend away and thought I could just do the return journey on one home charge but the sat-nav thought otherwise and chose a charger not far off its chosen route for a 5 minute top up.
Anyway the charger was at a Volvo dealer almost next door to the Porsche dealer where Ibought my...
I heard Porsche GB had added to the standard Taycan specifications so tried to spec a car to my liking and couldn't.
I do want a CT for the extra suspension travel but dislike the extra cladding, now standard and not un-selectable.
Secondly adaptive cruise is standard and I can't un-tick that...
I have a loan CT4 J1.2 while my car has its first service.
I plugged it into my dispenser at home and was surprised how much less power is lost in overhead compared to my car.
My car consistently loses 500 watts whilst charging, either using a domestic socket or my dispenser. The dispenser...
I hadn't driven my car for 4 days and it has been cold here and it was covered in ice.
The battery temperature was 3C and charge 77%
I plugged the car in and set the 1 hour preheat though I was actually leaving after 30 minutes.
My dispenser was delivering 7.2 kW, after 30 minutes the battery...
Every now and again I look at the used car list on the GB web site and apply filters for options I very much want.
If I choose all of them there are no cars at all that match my requirements.
Just now I selected just the most important of my wishes and got 3 hits but none had an exterior...
It is a long time since I drove a Taycan other than my own so it was interesting to get a similar loan car.
It has more external cosmetic options than mine but fewer internal and mechanical ones.
It looks gorgeous in Gentian blue but has roof rails, glass roof, privacy glass and electric charge...
I have had a spillage onto a rear seat and whilst the leather is now clean a big patch of perforations are showing a different colour.
I can broddle them with a toothpick whilst vacuuming at full power nearby but that will take many hours.
Anybody found a product and technique to shift it...
I have long complained about the poor ergonomics and distraction of touch screen controlled functions, as have many others.
Research has shown using a touch screen in a car is distracting and accident rates are going up since the minimum in 2010 so included in the safety score of cars in future...
It seems almost like trolling but I have been surprised that some members have talked about the power delivery of their IC engined sports cars in glowing terms, as if their characteristics, which are objectively inferior, were, to them, subjectively superior.
The reason IC engines are very...
@W1NGE posted an intriguing click-baitish post today with a link which, when I followed it, took me to a Macan EV forum which I would need to join, it seems.
I hate SUVs with a deep loathing, have no need of one and never will, as far as I can see, so I would ideally like to make sure such...
I just left my daughter’s house and when I shut the door and the car booted up the music I had been listening to started for a moment then some loud music I don’t recognise started and a window came up in the PCM asking something - I was surprised and not sure what was going on - but it said...
I excitedly ordered my car 3 days after a test drive showed it was a way better car than I had expected.
Despite being huge and heavy the driving made it seem smaller (except, it turns out, on some of the twisty narrow roads around here where the width is a major bummer).
It was July 2021 which...
Going out today at a known time in the first time in almost a year so I thought I'd try the charge timer.
I set 10.00 am and 85%, plugged in and everything seemd to be going as expected but the charging finished at 9:00 am instead, leaving the cabin an hour to cool down before we leave :(
Does...
There has been some discussion about how to warm up the battery for range/performance reasons.
The timer function in the PCM includes both getting to the required charge and pre-heating the battery to a pre-set time just in time to use the car, which is excellent if you use the car at the same...
I know I am not a typical car person but whilst accepting the reality of the popularity of SUVs I am completely baffled by the total lack of a rational reason for it.
The only objective comparison I have experience of was a colleague, also a racing car designer, who had a BMW company car.
He is...
I didn’t bother to activate CarPlay when I got my car and am not sure whether I will use it but sitting bored waiting in my car today I decided to see what it was all about.
I touched its icon, it told me I needed WiFi and blutooth active, which I have, or connected by USB.
It didn’t find my...
Yesterday I heard water sloshing from bottom to top of the tailgate in my CT when I opened it for my dog to get out.
I heard it again as it closed.
There were signs of water running out through gaps in the trim while it opened and closed. and drips near the little red lights.
There are 3 rubber...
