Thanks! Sounds like the pricing is similar then (perhaps a bit cheaper right now)
And +1 to your thinking on the deductible. I will also choose the higher one.
Hi gurus,
I am exploring extended warranty options for my 2023 Taycan 4S (~1.5 years of the original warranty left, current mileage at 21.5K). Below is what Xcare quoted me. I am considering the 10 year/100K miles (~$8.3K) option as I like to keep my cars around.
Curious to get your...
Thanks for sharing! We need more sharing of positive experiences in this forum! I have a 2023 4S for just about a year and so far have been enjoying the car immensely just as you have been.
Your range seems really solid. 518 kms (321 miles) is much more than the peak I saw, which I believe was...
Happened to me yesterday. I did the 2-finger reset. It opened the engineering mode screen where it asked me if I wanted to update the software. I tried it, but don't think it went through. Drove anyways to the restaurant, came back after 30 mins, and the screen was back. Don't know what if...
For those who bought (or are buying) the ChargePoint charger, did you consider getting the NACS version as that is the future standard, even though we'd need an adapter (~$60 cost I believe) for our current cars?
Thanks, want to make sure I understand how to read the PCM info. As example, for the front left, it's showing 34.8 (-1.5). Does that mean I need to inflate to 36.3 psi? And similarly to 33.3 psi for rear tires where it's showing 37.7 (+4.4)?
I have a MY23 4S. 8 months into ownership, loving it! No issues (fingers crossed), except a visit to the dealer to clear a battery sealant recall (campaign number APB2).
Question: What is the recommended tire pressure to shoot for? I have 20 inch turbo aero wheels. Current snapshot from My Porsche:
Yep, that's indeed my goal. I don't care about time of day (i.e., charge when rates are lowest) as I charge at work for free. Will try the profile option -- thank you for the suggestion.
Interesting! Will try it.
Thanks @SergeyIndy. I have the right settings so don't think that's the issue. Sometimes (1 in 100), the foot gesture does work. I just haven't been able to figure out how to consistently recreate that magic!
Doesn't sound like it. I never had wireless charging before so I guess I had unrealistic expectations. Now, gotta go buy a USB charging wire to keep in my car :P
Thanks @Jonathan S.! Wow, at least I feel less bad knowing this isn't a Taycan/Porsche issue. I guess wireless charging is a far greater engineering challenge than figuring out an 800V battery powered EV.
Thank you @SergeyIndy, really appreciate the response.
I will give the timer another go and see how it goes. I will make sure to turn off the Direct Charging option (perhaps that was the culprit last time round)
I tried foot gestures again but didn't work. If you wouldn't mind pointing me to...
Love this thread! I am also 3 months in with 2,500 miles on my MY23 4S. I LOVE my car. It’s my first Porsche and my first EV.
Grade: A+
What I like
Excellent styling: Love the car from all angles. A head turner for sure, no shortage of compliments received. Super rare in my neck of the words...
This resonates strongly with me. My experience over the past three months with my car is very consistent. Now I know when the system will react in a suboptimal manner and am ready to intervene. This is certainly a learning curve, and I suspect the learning curve is different for different...
I too have GEICO and pay ~$150 a month. Based in the Bay Area so perhaps some cost of living bump. I have $500 deductible and good coverages (300K/500K). I had taken a quote from AAA; they were more than double so didn't bother looking elsewhere (I have been a longstanding GEICO customer).
