The 2020 Taycan Turbo was my sixth Porsche and very likely my last. The battery fiasco and 11 recalls have really turned me 180 degrees away from the brand. When (if) I ever get the car back from shop (going on 7 months), it will be reincarnated as a MB AMG. I will take the biggest...
I thought I would share an update. Fast forward to May 2024…my Taycan has now been in service awaiting a new battery (main battery) for SIX MONTHS. Since I have owned the car there have been 11 recalls and several other issues that has now kept my car in the shop for over SEVEN months. PCNA...
Yes, It arrived in Mid-July. Love it! Only real complaint has been a very finicky PCM system. Continuously have issues with Apple CarPlay and Apple music, and my Liftmaster garage door opener is apparently not compatible. But all in all...zero regrets, amazing car!
I have to agree with many of the posts. Though there will always be apologists and fanboys who will defer to the standard “Porsche is about the drive, not the tech...” The simple fact remains, the PCM system is an embarrassment to the brand. My PCM system goes into the dealer today...Apple...
Minor glitches aside, this is the most “wow” car I have owned. It’s behind the wheel experience, the performance and speed are awesome. As far as the back up camera...not super high on my priority list. My car is in reverse about 1 minute a day. I have owned 911s, Panamera Turbo S and a...
At this point I am not sure what the issue is, but this morning my car is “bricked.” All electrical systems came on as expected, but when I put the car in reverse an error message popped up and the car will not leave neutral. I assume it is related to the much reported 12v battery issue, so I...
Looks like many of us are watching the progress of our boats! Mine is due to arrive in San Diego tomorrow morning. I was wondering if anyone has a good idea about what happen once it gets back into Porsche hands? Battery conditioning, SW upgrades, etc. Also (like most of this process), the...
I ordered mine from Chandler, I have purchased a 911 and Cayenne from them, always been responsive. I was able to make pre-production changes without issue, so hoping the car I actually spec’d arrives in July. It’s on the boat arriving in the first port tomorrow. I should have it by mid-July.
Not to be too precise about your dealer, but is your guy north or south of PHX? I’ve bought Porsches in CA, TX and AZ. Great experiences in CA, specifically Fremont and Woodland Hills. My Turbo is suppose to be on a boat now, will take delivery in July, a real moving target! Good luck!
This has been an interesting several months. Put my initial deposit down two years ago, And my build deposit in September 2019. Since then I have been given several delivery dates: Jan 2020, Mar 2020, May 2020 (then COVID hit), July 2020 and now back to Jun 2020. All my dealer can say is the...
When I ordered my Taycan in September the original estimated delivery date was February. Sixty days into the queue and the delivery date changed to early June 2020. From there I got a nice surprise from my salesperson, the date moved up to April. I was very pleased about the update and...
