  1. E-Shift Retrofit for Current Taycans?

voksic, you post is spot on, e.g. CHOICE. — starting with whether want to pay roughly $1K (USD) to even purchase it. Kind of like launch control, that some never do it, some often, and some just a few times when just after they get their new vehicle and then thereafter only to show it to...
  2. E-Shift Retrofit for Current Taycans?

All true, all valid and yet getting rid of the trackpad and improving parts of the PCM software by 5X (per the official Porsche E-shift newsroom press release) are good things.

Thank you very much. He is the best tire reviewer IMO. I bookmarked the whole article.
  4. Location! Location! Location! Post Artistic Photos of Your Taycan with Scenery

What a great road; what a great car to drive that fun road! Here’s another Taycan road trip through the Alps wonderufl video (though it takes about 5 minutes of it for him to arrive in the Alps).
  5. Our 2027 Taycan Plans Continue, Albeit Bye to the Sports Turismo

We are ordering a 2027. Our current Macan EV Turbo lease has quite a while yet to run. If timing were perfect our new Taycan would arrive early next spring — and we would happily join an event in your area next summer.

Good question, for you noticed that I separately chose all but one of the items in that package (the performance sumber tires which are a mandatory part of it). If one does not chose that package the summer tires it comes with are regular summer tires not “performance” summers (the $650 extra...

Thanks though have 18-ways in our Macan and as we are all built differently, they work well for us. As to the bigger issue, we are moving forward with our getting the Taycan GTS sedan. Our smaller sized family fits fine in the back seats (room to spare with two in it and three for short trip...

That works perfectly. Really nice we have smart, helpful folks on this forum.
  9. Our 2027 Taycan Plans Continue, Albeit Bye to the Sports Turismo

For whatever reason I am unable to get a functioning link for the Canadian 2027 Taycan configurator (ever time is forcefully results in changing to U.S. Taycan configuration only.) Anyone please have a URL link that works for Canada?
  10. Our 2027 Taycan Plans Continue, Albeit Bye to the Sports Turismo

I had not thought about that. Thank you. Do you, does anyone have any experience doing that? From what I just learned in the last few minutes — as a result of your asking this new-to-me question is that there is a way to do that but several steps that must precisely occur for that to happen —...
  11. Our 2027 Taycan Plans Continue, Albeit Bye to the Sports Turismo

10-4. With our Level 2 charger in our garage, range is not an issue for us 99% of the time. Even for road trips, we plan ahead, never once needing to eak out the last ten or so miles. The 21” RS Spyders are gorgeous sports car wheels.
  12. Our 2027 Taycan Plans Continue, Albeit Bye to the Sports Turismo

chun, we have seriously looked at the 21” Aero Design. According to the French configuration site they would give between 6 and 7 extra miles range over the 21” RS Spyders ( converted to EPA mileage calculations). Additionally, according to a Porsche engineer (as told to Kyle@OutOfSpec at the...

Thanks and yet we are hardly the first to adapt/adjust. We are looking forward to our truly exciting 2027 Taycan.
  14. Our 2027 Taycan Plans Continue, Albeit Bye to the Sports Turismo

The last 48 hours were a kick in the ass regarding our two year plan to get a 2027 GTS Sport Turismo. Its swoopy station wagon looks always caught our breath when we saw one on the road or at a dealership — and took two test drives. Right after Wednesday’s “no CT nor ST’s coming to the U.S.”...

One more picture of the E-shift paddle (from the Porsche pressroom)
  16. 2027 Taycan gets E-Shift, larger battery and much more - new model year!

For those who are going to select the $1,030 E-shift option (I will), been trying to learn as much as there is. The Porsche video in post # 77 and the Porsche press release are the best sources. I took the below two screen prints from that video. Interestingly and imo this will probably not...
  17. 2027 Taycan PPF Option

Balancing cost versus appearance versus it going to be three year leased. The paint on our 1,536 mile Macan EV CPO when we got it was fantastic. Besides getting washed carefully, It gets Adams ceramic detailer CS3 about once every three months. Looks so glossy and reflective in the sun now...
  18. 2027 Taycan gets E-Shift, larger battery and much more - new model year!

For those who saw yesterday’s short official Porsche E-shift video and thought it was lacking (I did), today’s new Porsche E-shift , posted in # 77 above thanks to Jin, it is a far more in depth, much improved one. Well worth my time today.
  19. Porsche discontinues Cross Turismo variant in US

This was verified last yesteerday by a premier Porsche dealership who had heard it directly from Porsche NA.
  20. 2027 Taycan PPF Option

Thank you. All very good points. What started my post was a knowledgeable person questioning the port’s quality control for its PPF workmanship. Therefore the option you suggested, though it would take two LA airplane trips, would be our friend’s LA area detailer who has done excellent work...
