The design is somewhat interesting, but it does not appear sporting at all. Almost as though they wish to position Ferrari as something other than just a performance car manufacturer.
And the price is truly obscene.
I think the car is attractive overall, particularly in the versions where the headlights are not connected by the black band.
More importantly though, this car appears to explore and hopefully push forward the possibilities of driver engagement in a performance EV. The upcoming Neue Klasse...
I had to abandon the Taycan entirely because both the 14 and 18 way seats gave me back pain - too much lumbar support. Everyone is shaped differently though.
Frank, I recently saw a feature on F1 TV that said you were the first person to ever drive a Williams with active suspension, so I would still trust your opinion more than most!
I am concerned that Porsche's letter opens the door to a situation resembling the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 affair in 2016, where owners of the phone were forbidden from taking it anywhere and Samsung had to brick the phones and recall all of them. Much easier to do with a cell phone than an...
Derek, at the risk of getting booed out of this forum, I'll ask have you ever looked at a Lucid? I have currently leased one after getting tired of my Model 3 and reluctantly giving up on my Taycan Turbo S, and I am really enjoying it.
It certainly has some software quirks, but the overall...
I echo other's advice on the value of an extended test drive, or even just sitting in the driver's seat at the dealership for an extended period of time.
I unfortunately had to return my Turbo S (with 18-way seats) to the dealer after I found that driving it for more than a few minutes...
Since this thread opened, I have seen at least three different Porsche ads on YouTube, each featuring only the Taycan (though not always mentioning it by name). Porsche is clearly trying a new marketing strategy for this car, and maybe for the company as a whole.
You are lucky. A naughty squirrel once chewed through the wiring harness of my wife's Honda Accord while she was parked at work. $800 to repair. I'd be afraid to see what a similar repair in the Taycan would cost!
I like the ad. Obviously, Porsche feels it is needed to move the metal.
As great a car as it is, the Taycan has simply become too expensive relative to its competition. The depreciation playing out on the used market reflects the same issue.
The flush covers on the headlights are very similar in style to those on the recently uncovered electric Macan, so I think this design is what we are getting.
Aesthetically it is definitely a step backwards. Perhaps there are aero gains that make the changes worthwhile. I am more interested...
I recently had a dealer in Florida offer me an $11,680 discount off of a new 2023 4S they had on the lot. Either the market for CTs is totally different or the dealer is just being difficult.
