Just wanted to share that I got the billy-bars and a 1x setup from 1-up and it works great. Install was super easy and I love that Porsche provides a custom tool to yank off the plastic cover for the mounting holes. With my 1x setup, I ended up mounting the rack on the further out position...
yeah, this is the question i am wondering about - does this periodic full charge actually help health, and how often to do it (as a function of miles or time)?
Thanks. I will watch the whole thing. From the threads here I have read, and the TLDR I got from this video, I thought takeaway was just to keep around 50% and charge small, frequently (eg 55 start of day, 45 end of day)
I have heard that it is “healthy” for an EV battery to be periodically charged to 100%. I usually keep mine at 45-65 for daily usage and never really go above 80; is there any benefit to going to 100 once a month etc? I don’t really care about calibrating the range estimate or anything like...
Pretty solid:
On the way up: 87mi @ 1.7 mi/kwh; on the way back 101mi @ 3.0 mi/wkh (added a purposeful detour). I suspect the trip up was partly because I had a fast charge stopover planned into the route and it spent energy heating the battery from 55 degrees to about 85-90 deg, to be able to...
Thanks to those who advised me on previous thread regarding ideal winter tire solution for Pacific Northwest area. I ended up getting snow tires fit on my existing rims and took the car to Stevens Pass. Wanted to share some pics.
Plus a random question: for slow driving on snowy unplowed...
Thanks all! Great input. I decided to pay for winter/summer tire-only swap, and having Pirelli P Zero Winters (NF0) installed tomorrow on my existing 20” rims. (They also gave me the option of Goodyear Ultra Grip Performance NF0). Will report back after a few weeks.
(I also posted this on Reddit r/Taycan)
So I bought a Taycan 4 Cross Turismo at the end of October and it came with summer tires on the 20-inch Taycan Turbo S Aero Design wheels (https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/sku9j120ttae.html) and the car and tires only have 700 miles on them so plenty...
I went with the proclip base only, bought ESR halolock, unscrewed the back part so I could get the ESR MagSafe flush with the proclip, and melded the two with Shoe Goo. I mounted to passenger side because driver side interfered with my knee.
Note some people mentioned the Cryoboost version of...
2023 CT4. The fabric insulation needed T25 Torx and attaching the side marker took T20. Hardest part was to figure out how to disconnect the power. I found flipping out the part facing front of car made it easiest to release the plug. The release is only on one side and was on the side facing...
