Missed the opportunity to hit the gravel button. Thanks for your shared experience.
@BjörnfromHamburg , the car handles brilliant with traction control fully off in snow (when you want to do donuts and 8s…) .. :) always good to experience the car in different conditions. Next time I’ll...
@Jasper4S at least the technology expert at this one PC gave these information with the appendix that the (potential & partial) update could happen through smaller „coding“ upgrades that they are not made actively aware off.
We are talking here about a bigger Upgrade for the J1 II platform. It...
I just called my local PC.
They said that an upgrade of the „OS“ of pre-facelift models is currently not planned/there is no communication regarding that.
It was planned to update smaller things like the charge menu, but currently also no news regarding that.
It could be that these features...
Indeed, a very interesting write up. How much kilometers did you calculate for your Taycan on a yearly basis?
Maybe calculate in a broken windshield from time to time? ?
oh and you need to calculate in new breaks and fluids from time to time that they want to sell you otherwise your warranty...
Should be a warranty thing if no impact is visible and the broken glass comes from mechanical stress of the vehicle.
Got this info regarding broken glass roofs.
A clear: don‘t buy from me.
If you use CarPlay / Android auto you basically don‘t feel it..
Living without it for 6 months already including some longer trips.
Remote preheat via App still works without this well overpriced package.
That would be the only feature I would have bitten the rotten...
Received mine this week, letter states Friday the 13th of December.
A Taycan did burn down already in my city 1 year ago (I bought one used after that).
Hope they work it out..
Yes, I do not use the predefined ones, unless they are featured in a Christopherus magazin issue.
Normaly, I just generate a route at home or during travel to see more of the surrounding.
Unsure how well the algorithm performs outside of europe.
See this new thread regarding the Porsche ROADS app update:
https://www.taycanforum.com/forum/threads/porsche-roads-app-finally-useable-august-update.23079/
TL;DR:
Try out the latest Porsche ROADS app navigation feature and thank me later. Navigation just works now.
Thought that this update was a little bit to stealth and needed some love to speak about.
(This is just a screenshot form the App preview, did not have a recent one)
Sparked from the...
Is it so hard to agree on:
We bought a PORSCHE based on driving performance and / or lifestyle
We all need to charge this marvelous driving machine sometimes
If we drive outside of our normal/daily routes, we need navigation
PCM navigation has room to improve
J1 II has an update that makes...
Unsure how often you guys use the on-board navigation and on what trips.
Did 30k km this year and was shocked by the miserable performance of the Charge Planner.
Did choose my Ionity stations before a 2k km (Germany -> Schweden) trip with 800km legs , only to find myself driving two times of...
From my understanding there is not even any official communication for the update for J1 II? @Jasper4S
But you are totally right. I think the missing communication from PORSCHE in general is here the problem..
I think the EU act NIS will maybe improve that. Then they need to bring patches as long as they sell the thing.
Ah never mind. They are not selling J1 I cars anymore.
So no future Porsche for me I guess..
(Comparison: Apple is still selling the iPhone 14 something right now while having 16 pro...
