    Summer time m/kW

My commute to work is short at 6 miles on twisty 60 mph narrow roads with possibly 1 temp [for over 1 year!] traffic light stop for approx 30 seconds to 1 min. In the winter my J1.2 does circa 1.5 m/kW. In the recent hot weather it's doing circa 3.2 m/kwh. Pleasantly surprised.

    Zun Sport grills

Likely to be dealership bollocks given they come as standard on some GT cars which need cooling more than most 🤞

    Zun Sport grills

After thinking about it for far too long, I took the plunge and bought a set of Zun Sport grills last week. https://www.zunsport.com/porsche-taycan-outer-grille-set They needed a little persuasion to fit - the inners needed a very firm push - maybe the J1.2 aperture is slightly different. But...

718/983 Cayman & Boxster Leaks & confirmed features

All manufacturers should really agree on a uniform position for the charging flap. Ideally, left rear to match Tesla and many others. It's daft having front, front left, front right, bonnet, rear, rear right etc. And I suspect many people with a garage, prefer to reverse in and their charger is...

My Experience With The Dreaded UVEye Scanner

Scanner can be useful. Earlier this year, I picked up my Taycan and noticed a scuff on a wheel. The car was parked at the back of the dealer's car park - coincidental perhaps! - and they didn't mention it. They said they weren't aware of it - which was quite possibly true. They checked their...

    Going from 21" wheels/tire sizing to 20" wheels/tires

21" Spyder look the best and ideal if your roads are largely smooth and pothole free. 20" ride way better - comfort, noise, dealing with crap roads. If you swap, don't forget to change the wheel size in the PMS - this corrects the speed and tyre pressure calculations..

Can I use my Porsche Charge Card with non Porsche

Used a Tesla Public Supercharger for the first time [Penrith]. Very easy, lots of chargers, decent services just off the M6.

[opinion] - hmmm…VW/Audi/Porsche _IS_ in trouble… [⚠️ ADMIN WARNING: NO INSULTING / POLITICALLY CHARGED POSTING]

I think the biggest problem with Porsche right now is they give the impression they can't be arsed with Taycan owners or their cars. And the former really concerns me. My Taycan recently had its first service. The work required was little more than an MoT - and in some aspects less - but they...

Can I use my Porsche Charge Card with non Porsche

Hi, I need to do a long journey and take a large EV. Can I use my Porsche Charge Card to get relatively cheap fast charging at a UK Porsche Dealership's EV charger for a non Porsche car? Thank you.

    Swapped J1.1 4S to J1.2 GTS - My Observations / Review

Same - not noticed any more noise from the 1.2. Both of mine had the electric charge doors.

New Car Specification - Best options for a 4S ST (Active Ride?)

Great spec. Agree with the other comments, especially RWS. Def tick the camera prep - my insurance insisted on a camera for a car with a value over £100k. Add a heated wheel - a must for me. I have a ST and used to have a CT. I prefer the CT for the extra height range, though maybe PAR negates...

    How to use charging timers

Agree somewhat. But ... I only started "gaming" the system once they capped the cheap rate to 6 hours a day. Before they announced the change, I mainly did overnight charging once or twice a week. Now I mainly do daytime charging for a little each day because I think about when and I how I use...

    How to use charging timers

Yep, that's basically I do it. (I have a Hypervolt charger.) Though I set the Octopus app to 100% and each car (Taycan and a Kia) is used to set the max charge %.

    How to use charging timers

Gave up using the timer 18 months ago on my j1.1 and never used it on my j1.2. Crazy that Porsche hasn't got enough tech ability to design and build high quality and user friendly software. I use the Octopus app to control when it charges and all I use the PCM / Porsche app for is to set a max...

    Today's dealership visit

Sat in the dealers for a while this morning - thankfully not EV issue related - and Euro Car Spares van arrived with a parts delivery (are they now OEM supplier?) :) Most interesting car here today - and better than anything Porsche has released in several years - was this classic:

    My Porsche app latest update

The most useful update to the app has to be the timestamp showing when the app data was last updated. It was infuriating before to refresh the app, it said it was up to date but [often] you knew the data was several hours old. It now still doesn't update each time you refresh it - which is still...

    Tire damage, wear, or defect?

Have similar on my winter tyres - front and rear. My J1.1 wore them heavily (especially passenger front), the J1.2 not so much. My guess is (1) they have softer rubber, more sipes, so more movement + lots of torque and (2) wheel alignment sensitivity most likely my car's main issue. Not at...
