Seriously? Do the Porsche bike racks really break, even with a bike weighing 12kg? Pffff. I just use a Thule rack in combination with this solution.

That’s a good tip! You don’t see that often with white plates. On my rack, there’s a NL sticker, maybe that helped me get away with it.

Thank you for this wonderful idea @David4Cross . I had one made too. For winter sports, I converted my bike carrier into a ski rack. That allowed me to ski/snowboard with 4 people. And without a roof box that significantly limits the range. Very happy with it!

I'm not sure if it's exactly what you're looking for, but in my experience, having a roof box or any carrier on the roof significantly limits the range. That's why I opted for a ski rack at the back of my car.
