When the main dealer works on the battery (e.g. change a module) they have to seal it after and then do a pressure test to prove the seal is air tight.
I get this but assumed it’s due to a slight slope in my driveway. At slow speeds the car can pick up a small slide in the opposite direction and activate the hill hold function.
I’ve had exactly the same error. Jus
I got exactly the same error when I tried to charge above 85%. Car now with Porsche waiting replacement of 2 battery modules, to come from Germany. They are saying it’ll be 2 weeks to fix.
996 cab and a Taycan 4S. Taycan for business and the 911 for fun. was going to part exchange the 911 for the Taycan but decided the it was worth more to me as a weekend car. Ive had the 966 for 20 years, Ive looked at updating it with a 991 or 718 but see little reason to change.
I believe there was a software update in 2023 which increased range on all cars. I think it was small changes to the way regen worked and when the rear or front motors cut in
Just had exactly the same problem. Car drives fine until I put my foot down. I noticed battery temp was 13c so guessed that was the reason. Problem disappeared when temperature rose. Took it for hard drive with a couple of launch controls. No issue drove as it should. However later had regen...
I was talking to one of the new aftermarket EV dealers. They say they check the batteries and replace any cells which are weak. They find they rarely replace more than 2 or 3. Early days still but it does not sound like a big problem
My 4S occasionally gets the speed limit wrong. it appears to read road signs rather than using GPS. So I find it occasionally picks up the posted limit for a side road if the sign is badly placed or miss a correct sign obscured by, say, a lorry.
One further worry is they might retrofit the ISA...
Thanks a useful summary. But I think it comes to which aspects you value. For me the performance, handling and looks come top. I'm less worried by range as I rarely have to charge away from home. But the clincher was the interior, the minimalist dash board on the Tesla is a big turn off where as...
The Porsche is a sports car, so has larger more grippy tyres which will eat KWh. you could put skinny trees on to increase the range but I prefer having the performance.
