The wifemobile requires a software update to activate PnC, will get that done and cut her over to it as well. Nice to know that there’s not an actual requirement for client-server-client roundtrip communication to unlock a charge.
I got to try this at the 350kW plug in Auburn, CA earlier. Worked perfectly, without a stitch of waiting or ”timeouts” forcing an unplug, re-plug and twiddling of the app.
Pic, because we all know it didn’t happen without one.

Appreciate everyone rolling in with comments - and it’s good to see the positive experiences. I created the thread after chatting with other owners I know, who have had experiences similar to mine.
Certainly open to an alternative method. The videos I watched indicated that you had to use the app to activate the charging position you plugged into.
Guessing I RTFMed the wrong way?
I really don’t have an issue with paying to charge, the bulk of mine is done at home. The issue I have is with representing free charging as a component of value - however small - and failing to deliver on it.
