As for Luce, I am truly disappointed with the end result, waited for that car with an open mind, EV being a plus as I already had a Plaid, Sapphire and Taycan Turbo GT most recently and learned to appreciate the superior culture of power delivery, response and dynamics of high performance...
You can take an actual Prius, change the body a little so it looks different, put the badges and it will sell for $300k easy, as “anti global warming, conscientious Ferrari for responsible owners”, with silent acknowledgment of a next Speciale or Aperta allocation attached.
It’s really getting...
Not all,
I owned 4 911 Turbos and about a dozen different variants of 911.
Couple 928s too when they hey were making them.
That did not stop me from buying AMGs, exactly 20 of them when including 4 cars from AMG before the merger.

….and I wholeheartedly agree with you.
An absolute majority of people does not want to stick out like a sore thumb, they always choose the easier, “safe” choice and in essence are Lemmings, trying to blend in and do what everyone else around them does.
Afraid to be called extrovert they choose...
I miss the time when you could tell the Brand even from some significant distance, unmistakably MB or BMW or Japanese (perfectly bland).
Today, in most cases, you need to see a badge, all of the new cars look alike, can’t tell the difference between Euro, US or Asian cars, in the sea of...
Whoever bought this car is not a child, not a dealer's responsibility although in this state people sue others for even stupider things and win.
I picked up my car in late October 2024, still had a very mild weather but already unpredictable.
Dealer swapped the tires by my request before it was...
I have a little bit of experience driving performance car in all weather conditions, Taycan Turbo GT was my daily driver (10k miles in less then a year in Chicago), had 3 seasons as a privateer for Opel and FIAT in late 70s rallying and I wouldn't dare to attempt driving ANY car on Summer tires...
Just traded my Turbo GT non Weissach for a GT63Se Performance (4door).
Almost 11k very fun, very satisfying and faultless miles, $170k trade in.
Reason: I’m a big guy at 6’4” and 230lbs and even as nimble as I can be ( yoga, calisthenics for the past 40 years), got tired of getting in and out...
Car is perfect, not a scratch.
Already needs Summer tires and also has a set of Winter wheels.
With 10k miles, 150k is the range I can expect from my dealer as I prefer not to deal with individual buyers.
Agree 100%.
Used ones are showing up already, mine will be on the market soon, with about 10k miles I don't expect it to bring much more then 150-$160k
What’s the end goal?
To have people think you have a Turbo GT or to get to the Turbo GT performance?
I can understand the latter as the real one is severely overpriced IMO, the first one I just don’t get.
Hearing these stories makes me appreciate more where I live.
There are 6 different Porsche dealers within a 40 mile radius from me, they all compete and not getting a loaner on a day’s notice is incomprehensible to me.
Although I usually have to ask for a Panamera or a 911. (Only once wasn’t...
Car is getting quicker it feels like, still not as quick midrange as Plaid or Sapphire in particular.
Still have trouble recognizing my phone, sometimes instantly, other times can take a few minutes.
The range is terrible, barely over 100 miles although to be honest I have a HFS.
I am getting...
Another thing, a 911 is a Porsche, Taycans, Macans, Cayennes etc, are just money makers for the company that makes Porsches, the above mentioned 911s.
All the rest are just appliances…..
I have one too as Porsche makes very good appliances.
I am not seeing it.
I may be just invisible in my Grey Turbo GT as I never get a second look from anyone, car blends in perfectly among a sea of other Porsches, BMWs and MBs.
Was a bit different with my wife driving her Lusso but it could also be the fact she is a former Vice Miss Universe.
