Update: the part has been ordered from Germany and needs 15 working days to arrive.
According to Google Maps, driving the part from from Stuttgart to Dubai would require 63 hours lol. Perhaps Porsche can introduce a Taycan delivery service? They'll have to plan the charging along the route.
I find it hilarious that they send an email a month before delivery talking about all the ways they're testing the car to make sure it arrives perfect.
Clearly not much testing happening! All they had to do was try to charge it once and they will have detected a problem.
Honestly the way they're dealing with this makes me feel like many cars are experiencing the same problem. They're dealing with it like a routine issue, like just another Taycan coming in.
They gave me a base Cayenne to drive in the meantime but it's not the same. This is not what I signed up for.
I took delivery of my new 2025 base Taycan on 11 October. Beautiful car that IMO drives better than any ICE car I’ve driven before.
Next day the charging ports wouldn’t open all the way, and would get stuck, giving an error. I took it in to the agent and they said it was a software update issue...
