So.. a month ago I got this error message in red. As you probably have guessed it, it has to do with the high voltage battery.
It beats me how this happened on a 15k km car, that has only ever stayed in my heated garage.. and had only been charged on an AC charger up to 80% (probably charged...
CarPlay does not work over BT. It works either via the USB cable or through wifi. BT is used only for handshake between the device and the car.
also, as stated above - pretty much any new porsche has wifi carplay but the Taycan.
Everyone needs to plug their iPhone in the Taycan for CarPlay to work. At least i hope so, i’d feel screwed otherwise.
there’s a workaround with the possibility of using one of those Chinese wired to WiFi CarPlay adapters, but i have not tried one yet
I’m a fanboy and my Taycan is far from my first Porsche. Suffice it to say what you expected before delivery was logical and was also the norm and what you would get from any Porsche before the Taycan. It’s getting me mad at them for ruining this idealistic picture of a brand I had for them...
Would love to know about the smartlift. Also there seems to be an hp upgrade in the MY21 (shorter 0-62 times and 1/4 mile) which don't seem to be a motor or a battery thing. Would love to get that update as well. Don't care about much of the other things.
I have a 992 Turbo S, whose PCM while smaller in screen real estate is arguably better than the Taycans. It's a tad more responsive and way less buggy. The Taycan is still the more futuristic of the two. But the 992 also has WIFI CARPLAY and unlock through the app!
No, it’s great to go to sleep and awake to a range of new features, that get me excited as if the car was brand new. Tesla keeps doing this with my MY19 Model S, why couldn’t Porsche with my way more expensive Taycan?
As a matter of fact, all of the extras minus the ones that need additional hardware should be available for everyone who has the right hardware.
For example, my Taycan is awfully low for where I live in and I have to constantly raise it up. If I don't get the self raise feature, I might end up...
Agree on the colour and the pics. It was a gamble, but I am happy with it. Still think it’s the best colour combo for the Taycan too. I can send you unprocessed images if you want.
How is conventional gasoline car different in parking equipment than the Taycan? I think we need to acknowledge Porsche’s Taycan PCM is just rubbish at this point and hope they’d start patching it faster and over the air.
To illustrate my point - My car is at the dealership for yet another...
Nope. My door handles present themselves when I am a few feet away from the car. This is the biggest distance a comfort access works on any of my cars. On most of my cars I need to be standing right at the door or even touch the handles first.
You'll get there on a single charge. Just charge to 100% beforehand and drive in range mode. It will automatically limit the max mph should you be running out of juice.
I'd always recommend a 15 minute stopover to a fast charger though, makes it faster to reach 100% with slow destination...
Same problem here in Bulgaria. For two weeks now, no connection to the car through the app or through the site. Yesterday it started sending data again to the app (an update to the app came through, which I think was connected). Now everything works again?
