So, tried a 5 minute disconnect of the 12v battery, but still no LTS connection. Then did a 10 minute one, and finally got the LTE activated. Unable to connect to my online profile though, so left the car for a few hours before trying again. On the susequent third try the PCM finally logged on...

Got the same no LTE problem om MY2020. Tried searching the forum but unable to find the "12v reset" procedure. Anyone care to elaborate? Is it more refined than yanking off all the plastic and disconnecting the 12 volt battery?

No, you’re good. Those two latter connections never work anyway. You’d probably have to connect the car to the same Wi-Fi that you’re phone is on for that to work. No need for that.
