I was talking about ADAS. Navigation mapping is not an ADAS system and not to my knowledge affected by climatic conditions.
ADAS is an Advanced Driver "Assistance" System. It assists the driver, but the driver is responsible for being prepared to take over from the car. Read the handbook and it...
The advantage that Waymo have is they have a plethora of different sensor technologies, so when one sensor is blinded or blocked due to fog, rain or bright lights, then there is another system that acts as a back up. However, in heavy rain and snow conditions none of the sensors will perform...
Any ADAS systems that use radars or cameras are prone to deactivate in adverse weather conditions eg. snow, heavy rain etc and not considered as a serious safety issue, likewise your innodrive cancelling. In the Taycan handbook I'm sure that there will be statement like "the driver is...
I've had these Matrix lights for 5 years on my 2 J1.1s. They provide great illumination on roads where there is no central reservation barrier that separates the on coming traffic. On roads where there is a central barrier, I frequently get flashed by on coming trucks. This is because the...
My 23MY Taycan has had the 12V battery go flat twice after 10 to 14 days of none use. The dealer couldn't find a fault which I think is software related. To stop the battery going flat when it's not being used, I use the Porsche connect app to pre warm (or cool ) the car. When this happens the...
I don't think that we all get inner tyre wear. I didn't get it on my turbo S (front tyres changed at 14K miles) and my turbo does not have any inner tyre wear and it looks like I will have to change at 14k also. I usually drive in normal mode and have Michelin pilot sport tyres.
That obviously means that the 12V socket is permanently live which is very unusual on an ICE vehicle as it means any electrical device left in the socket will significantly increase the battery drain. It's less critical on the Taycan as the 12V battery is supported by the traction battery even...
Only happened once. I drove the car for about 20miles ( no door open messages), then went around a LH corner and the RH rear door opened on to its secondary latch and the door open message appeared. Dealer said that I had not closed the door properly which was nonsense and if door was partially...
Sorry to hear about all these problems. On the subject of range have you tried to measure the actual range. It could be that you still have the same actual range, but the predicted range is completely wrong. Also the dealer should be able to give you a state of health reading from your...
Yes, just had same problem today with RR door. It did not fully open but held on the it's secondary latch position. Before anyone says that maybe it was not closed properly, then the door open message should have been displayed if the door was not closed properly.
No I've not resolved this issue and I haven't discussed it with my dealer as it hasn't got to the point where it's annoying (which i thought it would). It sounds as though your vibration is more noticable than mine. I will mention it to the dealer when it goes in for the software update.
