Some Tesla Chargers have MagicDock, and don't require an adapter. There's one in East Point, GA like that, and I have successfully charged my 24 4S at that. My Tesla App shows Haubstadt, IN among others.
I think you'll have to wait until the summer for the temperatures to rise, to see better range, and to understand if you have a particular problem with the battery. As the poster above said, not plugging in at home is likely most of the issue. The battery is using a lot of energy to heat...

Amazon, search ANKER J1772, this has a Nemo 14–50 plug which connects to a Nema 14–50 “RV” Outlet. It’s different than the standard 240 V US dryer plug. And different again from the 110V adapter that Porsche sells.
I have purchased this. It connects to a NEMA 14-50 RV outlet. The amp limit is actually favorable for us, as we want to provide electric car charging at a mountain cabin without guests maxing out the charging rate and overloading the circuit. I'll let you know next weekend how it works.
