  1. Extras added by dealer after purchase

Anyone know if the 150kW 400V charging option is a software upgrade? For me it’s essential - I am too accustomed to having access to Tesla Superchargers - and annoyingly it’s not in the filter on Porsche’s used car search (at least not in the UK). I see it is now standard on J1.2.
  2. Difference in range between 2020-early2024 Taycan models

WLTP is, as you say, bollocks. But I understood the OPs question be why cars which are on the face of it largely the same being sold in Porsche’s website by main dealers with different quoted WLTP ranges. I think the discussion suggests that answer is as I supposed: The dealers have to sell...
  3. Difference in range between 2020-early2024 Taycan models

Are you sure? This link suggest a major update in 2023 which (see under powertrain and heat) improved range. https://newsroom.porsche.com/en/2022/products/porsche-taycan-model-range-software-update-2023-model-year-29112.html I don’t know if this explains the CPO WLTP range claims differing...
  4. Difference in range between 2020-early2024 Taycan models

I have seen the same as the OP. I think (be careful!) that there was a big range boost around 2022 or 23 coming for a big software update. I don’t know how it delivered the boost - may be running inverter etc more efficiently or freeing up some of the unavailable battery. My presumption...
  5. Mountain Test Drive of the 2025 Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo J1.2

Not a direct comparison, but the change from 19” to 21” wheels on a Tesla Model S has close to a 10% impact on consumption, so it’s very easy to believe that the drag difference between the saloon and CT would do the same or more - especially in dense cold air.
  6. Taycan Charging Speeds on UK Chargers

There are. Unfortunately I think they’re only 150kW and more importantly I think only 4. Still a Taycan will get me further from Edinburgh than the Tesla (big rear motor and big wheels, plus maybe 8% battery degradation over nearly 9 years) Good info, thanks. Is that slide from the Porsche...
  7. Taycan Charging Speeds on UK Chargers

Put it this way, I’ll miss Tebay.
  8. Taycan Charging Speeds on UK Chargers

Thanks @Boss Hogg really useful info and confirms that the charge curves I’ve seen aren’t limited to 30C ambient temperatures. Thank you @Tim65W - over 250kW is reassuring. We all have our own criteria, and personally I’d not quite agree on Tesla’s network. They’ve opened 498 bays at 42 sites...
  9. Taycan Charging Speeds on UK Chargers

Thanks for the input. Is anyone seeing extended charging above 200kW? The US evidence online suggests this is common - eg around 300kW in a J1 II from 10-60% or 250kW for a J1. I wonder if it’s just too cold here to get that performance - it seems to rely on the battery being at between about...
  10. Taycan Charging Speeds on UK Chargers

Thank you, that's just the sort of real world experience I am looking for. Sounds promising, and good to remember the need for the 150kW/400V option.
  11. Taycan Charging Speeds on UK Chargers

Hello! I am new here. I have owned a 2016 Tesla P90DL for a little over 5 years and have got on very well with it for both short runs and cross-Europe/length of the UK trips with the family - about 50,000 miles in total. I'm looking to change and my favoured replacement is a facelift/J1 II...
