  1. Charge to 85% - What on earth is going on!!!

This just made my day! ?
  2. Charge to 85% - What on earth is going on!!!

Sorry for being dumb, but I’m a little confused here, do you leave both timers for 9pm and 4pm on? Struggling to wrap my head around how they would interact. I have one timer set for 05:30 and a home profile for 45% and preferred charging time of 00:30-05:30. This is the time my electricity...
  3. Taycan Problem - potential catastrophic tire failure

Going in for recalls is kind of a blessing really as most new owners would not be going in until after 2yrs. Most people don’t walk around checking treads regularly, certainly not inners. I only got mine used in Feb last year and have done 10k. Tyres were new when I got it. If it wasn’t for...
  4. Taycan Problem - potential catastrophic tire failure

Just had to have both my rear tyres replaced on my 2020 4S; nail on OSR and down to cords on shoulder on NSR. Wear across the treads was as expected. Ive owned the car for 11mths. No unusual pressure warnings. When the car was in for brake pipe recall in October the tyres were within spec but...
  5. Both Charge Doors Not Opening on Sensor but will on Console

To update on this as I have the car back now. The drivers footwell noise issue was all sorted ok. The suspected problem was the foam/padding between the floor & batteries had shifted; turns out I had none at all and didn’t even look like there had ever been! So glad I pushed on that one. Rear...
  6. UK service & costs

My 08/2020 Taycan is due its next service in August, essentially 4yr/40k, so enquired about cost. I was quoted a little over £600 and that included a discount on the brake fluid change. I was told the recall only meant flushing of the front lines, hence the discount at next service. I also asked...
  7. Taycan service history “proof”?

Sorry, I know this is an old thread, but where on the PCM can I view the service history? Much like the OP, I purchased a 08/2020 Taycan in Feb 2024 from Porsche. The car was at 28k at that time and I now sit at 35k with service due Aug 2025 according to the app. Surely the 2yr service would...
  8. Charge to 85% - What on earth is going on!!!

Glad you managed to get it sorted. I agree with you though, it is not an easy or logical system to follow!
  9. Charge to 85% - What on earth is going on!!!

Have you managed to solve this issue yet as the above looks like your last post? I’ve been following the thread and giving some thought to it. I highly doubt it is the case, but next time you are charging take screenshots of the profile being used while charging. I can’t imagine why it would...
  10. Taycan 4S 60K Service - anyone do it without brake pad replacement?

Don’t Tesla have a lifetime guarantee on their brakes due to lack of use from regen?
  11. Both Charge Doors Not Opening on Sensor but will on Console

Thank you. I’m looking forward in a strange way to picking it up next week. I will report back what happens! Colchester seems likely will be getting my business moving forward.
  12. Both Charge Doors Not Opening on Sensor but will on Console

The rear tyre worn to the cords btw looks like not to be camber issue. Where it is I think I must of caught it on something. I thinking inner edge of a pot hole maybe? But this is what trigger the need for alignment.
  13. Collecting 4S Tomorrow - 1st EV Drive Range Anxiety!

11 months into my 1st EV ownership, the tip I would give is that if you find yourself stopping for a toilet or comfort break, even if just for 10mins, plug it in. On a rapid charger you will be surprised how quick it can add miles in just 10mins!
  14. Both Charge Doors Not Opening on Sensor but will on Console

Thank you for your time replying to all this SpeUK, much appreciated. Car is with them this whole week as I am currently away on holiday. They are doing the floor issue and MOT. I also raised the issues with the charge flaps and door handle. They have found a nail in OSR tyre and a rip to the...
  15. Both Charge Doors Not Opening on Sensor but will on Console

OPC = Official Porsche Centre? My local is Norwich. I bought from Perth. it sounds like you have been well looked after, but you are also spending good money with the brand. when I contacted Porsche GB re the floor issue they just told me they rely on the recommendation of the dealer, so I...
  16. Both Charge Doors Not Opening on Sensor but will on Console

I am in Norfolk and bought the car in Scotland. The first issue I had with the car was that the drivers footwell floor will flex as you step in and out of the car with the metal flexing making a “doonk” noise; most irritating every time you get in and out! My local dealer deemed it as acoustic...
  17. Taycan 4S 60K Service - anyone do it without brake pad replacement?

Hi Peter, it’s been an interesting read of your experience. As another relatively new Taycan owner not far off (my first) service at 4yrs/40k. As I was ready through the various quote posts I was going to suggest getting a quote from Colchester as they seem to be fairly priced for what I keep...
  18. Both Charge Doors Not Opening on Sensor but will on Console

I should add that the dealer I purchased from is not my local dealer who have been doing repairs/recalls. I did not mention at first what happened at pick up but did once they came back with their diagnosis/fix and cost to me. They basically implied they had been misaligned by someone so...
  19. Both Charge Doors Not Opening on Sensor but will on Console

Hi all, this is my first post. I purchased an approved used Taycan 4S last February and really love the car but I have had niggles and frustrations that when it comes to get sorted I start to wonder if the warranty is worth it? One of the latest issues is that the drivers side port I use the...
