Called up a PRG dealer who is able to sell me a 2021 Taycan. The recall is indeed only impacting a subset of J1.1 cars.

Interestingly, the J1.1 Taycans still listed for sale don't show up recalls on the Porsche GB VIN checker. Maybe it is just a small specific number of vehicles and not all J1.1s?

I wasn't at all tempted to reject my recent purchase even if it was stuck with dealer, but I am now.

Sorry missed one other detail... You can only put on the extended (non battery warranty) 90 days after purchase. By then you've potentially lost your right to reject under CRA. So a little risk there too

Porsche GB have confirmed that this specific recall can't be resolved by 60 day module checks. It needs the software update (which doesn't have an ETA!), else cars won't be released by dealers on safety grounds. If anyone had the amber warning for ARB6 in the app yet was allowed to drive off...

Came across this too, my conclusion was that an extended warranty can be slapped on soon as a catch-up major service and 111 service is done. However, technically you will be in breach of the 8 year battery warranty as service has deviated by over a month. I decided not to take that risk and...

I bought my CPO Taycan on Friday but annoyingly it had to stay with them as the surround cameras failed on my very first drive. To complicate things, this then cropped up over the weekend on the My Porsche app. I'll hopefully find out today when I see my beauty!
