Most of the time I am closing the bonnet because I have pressed the wrong button on the remote and opened it accidentally!

To avoid getting fingerprints on my black paint I have been pushing down on the Porsche badge to close my bonnet. I have seen some comments on Facebook (admittedly about the 992) suggesting that this can damage the bonnet. Do any of you know if this is true?
