Two dealers could not explain to me the difference between the inspections in the manual and the ones they do every time the car is recalled. I think in the US they always do an inspection.
Everything in that list is inspectable with a lift, taking the tires off, and removing one plastic panel...
My dealer thankfully has a few. We even bought a CPO EV Macan off them. Got an ICE one the last time. Thankfully it’s been fine since its hiccup and I’ll book the next recall for when I have a good moment.
That’s my guess. I’m just outside the range of some of the other cell recalls that were due to badly crimped LG packs. This car is one of the Pandemic scarcity/Ukraine War wiring harness factory closure/Transport ship sinking triple whammy cars where everything was delayed to the point the early...
Ok. Can’t explain this one. After being RROD all day on Monday, the car sprung back to life yesterday 🤷♂️. I need to take it in for the camera software recall and I’ll have them check it out in depth. I took photos but I’m sure their scan tools will read this.
I'm in Atlanta.
My car is lemon flavored but the service here doesn't help. Three 22kW charging boards, seat cushion recall, all the software stuff, lots of run arounds getting new brake Iines and the EVSE recall. My car spends about two to three months per year in their service bays, often...
Just got this update yesterday and ran it this morning after dropping my son off at school. Got the red ring, post update, as I attempted to leave for an errand this evening. Going to check in a bit to see if it’s a temporary one or if I get to say goodbye to this car for another three months as...
My car does this. Guess I’ll need to mention it next time it’s in the shop to see what they do. The brakes feel a little weak when this happens and it’s not on every initial braking cycle, but I’ve taken to giving a good strong stop to bed the pads on a regular basis.
Mine does this as well. My dealer sent a photo of what they use to clean it and it is a not available to the public mix of Xylene and Toluene in a combination I don’t feel like playing with.
Given the poor experience I've had in the US I can only wish they'd do anything remotely that easy. Everything eventually gets fixed but they never know whats going on, when parts will come, if the part that comes is correct, until several trips back and forth. I expect I’d leave with the 11kW...
FWIW the A Premium carbon in the filter seems fine on mine. My OEM filter was just a paper filter. I assume they have a couple manufacturers for these.
OEM or aftermarket it’ll not block all exhaust compounds. The smaller gasses like carbon monoxide and the smelly sulphur dioxide from Diesel...
Porsche and probably more likely VAG always leans on their manufacturing lines. Save for well into a campaign you’ll be waiting for something from Europe. The whole brake line situation could have been more quickly resolved by having Denso, Delphi, Goodyear, or Napa (really the parent company)...
My Pilot Sport 4S have been fine with the winter weather we had in January (the two snow days excluded). The stock Eagle F1s did not work at all when they were cold. It took a lot of scrubbing to drive on cold November and December mornings. That’s the whole point of the 4S vs the previous...
I’m in Atlanta and was able to get the brake lines (theoretically, haven’t gotten the car back) from the new Marietta Hennessy Porsche. I had been unable to get them at the end of last year and they didn’t have them at the start of the year.
Again, I haven’t gotten the car back but I felt like...
